Just a Question

"Come on! You're weak!" I threw another punch, fitting the dummy hard so it could fall over.

It's been awhile since my trials, and I've been training since. Never thought I'd be taught by creepypastas.

"Not bad runt," Jeff complemented me. "You're improving quite fast. But you can still be better. Take a rest. We'll start again in fifteen minutes." I nodded in response, sitting down and taking a sip of water as Jeff left the training room. Even if I've been training hard, I haven't forgotten why I'm getting stronger. The proxies and I have been researching non-stop when I'm not training to find where my family is. Something still doesn't settle right though. I don't understand why they're helping me. Why they haven't killed me yet or made me a slave or something like that. It's just so stange. From all of the stories I've heard, it seems like these aren't even the same people. Maybe I'm over thinking this?

At that moment, the color green soon filled my vision. I looked up to see the blonde glitch himself. I pondered of why he was here, which soon was answered. "Y/N. Can we talk?" I nodded. He sat next to me, looking a far. For some reason, his expression was hard to read. "You've been here for awhile. When are you going to look for them?" His eyes shifted to me, but kept his head forward. His eyes were not the black and red I have came to known. They were like any other eyes. A shade of blue, much like the hero he resembled.

" I don't know. I'm honestly a little confused myself, " I admit to him. "I guess I'll see see when Slenderman says it's time."

"But what if it's too late? What then? " The question almost made me flinch. I didn't want to think of that. Not now. "What if you get there and they're dead? If they died without you, without seeing the light of day again. What if you find them, rotting away in a cold cell, where all you can smell is blood and the corpses of your family? What then?" While he was talking, I didn't realize that my body began to shake. His eyes went dark, and his red pupils glowed brightly. "Would you stay there, and die with them, or come back? Coming back as a failure would mean you never get to leave. Why?" A dark cackle caused a pause before he continued. "Cause we would tie you up, starve you, and mentally break you until you DIE."  He snapped his head to look directly into my eyes. Everything that just happen made it seem hard to breathe. My shaking stopped, but I was now paralyzed.

I'd hate to say it, but he was scaring me. I wanted to get up and get away, but I couldn't. All I could do was stare into the dark orbs that pierced me. It wasn't until another present entered the room did BEN break eye contact. Finally gaining control over my body, I turn to look at the doorway to see Toby. "H-hey. Red's looking for  y-ya BEN. Seemed important ," he said inbetween some tics. BEN got and walk to the door so he could leave, but not before he looked back at me for a last time. Once BEN had left,Toby walked to me. "Hi." I responded in a small wave.  " Hey, y-you good?  You seem pale. "

"I'm alright.," I struggled to speak, which he seemed to take note of this. He took a seat next to me and sighed.

"What's wr-wrong?"

"Are you all really going to kill me if I fail this mission?" My voice was shaky when I asked this. All that BEN said was repeating in my mind, along with the gruesome image of my family's lifeless bodies decorating a stone floor. Just the thought of it caused fears to threaten to fall, and my throat to feel dry.  From not getting a quick answer, I started to worry, turning to face Toby.

"I..." He finally spoke," Don't know. But d-don't think about that 'kay? " He smiled, "Knowing you, you'll d-do anything to succeed. You've al-always have been one to push through." Though what he was saying was quite encouraging, it also felt off. He spoke as if he knew me for years. Before I could even thank him, Jeff came back into the room.

"Hey, Rookie. Times up, so stop yapping and get ready," the raven haired male said sturnly. Understanding, I said farewell to Toby and went back to work.
