Chapter 2: Our Meeting

3:39 P.M.

Jimin's POV

I watch my members gather up their stuff in the car as I wait for them in front of the company. I told them to hurry up because we were supposed to be here at 3:30 and now we are 9 mins late. Awhile ago, our manager came to pick us up, earlier just as we expected, but on the road we got into a terrible traffic.

I recalled that Tae weren't like himself when we were on our way here. He barely talk like he usually does and so I look for him to ask him what was up but I noticed that he didn't get out of the car yet. I went to him just to see that he was sleeping. I wake him up and he groaned while muttering 5 more minutes. I tried to shake him more and his eyes bolted out suddenly. I told him that he needs to hurry up because all of us will get in trouble if we don't move now. He did what I told him and I could see that he got a dark circle around his eyes. I guess he couldn't sleep again last night. I think it has something to do with our fan meeting coming up but this isn't the first time that we held one and from what I remember he did fine on our very first one. I think there's something else going on but I'll talk to him later about it.

"Let's go", Namjoon hyung said, loud enough for us to hear and we all followed him while I also saw Tae rolled his eyes. "Weird", I thought as I fasten my pace to catch up with the others.

As we entered Bang PD's office we greeted his fine secretary. According to her, Bang PD is running late because he is stuck in a traffic and might get here in about 10-20 minutes. She told us to sit down first while we wait and skim through the papers she handed to us while we sat down. The contents of the papers have something to do with our fan meeting that's coming up next week, photoshoot for puma and finally performing to an award show. My eyes went wide as I read the last one because it'll be our first time going to an event like that and I'm happy that our efforts are being recognized.

Flashback

I'm so happy! We need to go and practice more, hoseok hyung exclaimed.

Yeah! Let's show them our best and leave them in awe when we perform, namjoon hyung excitedly added as we all went to the practice room.

We practiced  everyday and night to get our choreography and everything on point but our efforts were in vain as everything went to naught when a sudden call almost crushed our spirits.

Manager: ....umm namjoon-ah, I received a call from the people in the event...
Namjoon: Hello managernim! Did they set up a day for our rehearsal? What did they say?!?
Manager: Namjoon...I don't want to say this and it hurts me that I am the one relaying this message to all of you but the organizers from that event called and told me that they revoked their invitation. They said they were sorry but they needed to put someone who were well known...

End of flashback

I remembered Namjoon hyung's excited face slowly turned to a frown and disappointment. He tried to keep himself contained from the news but his voice cracked when he uttered an okay to reply and our hearts broke not only from the news that we heard but the sight of our leader who kept himself from crying just to smile and tell us that there will be plenty of opportunities in the future and that today is just not those days and that it will be okay. We knew that he kept on a facade to look strong for us but he was also hurting and we didn't know how to comfort him.
