Remembrance day

(Remembrance Day, also know as Armistice Day and/of Poppy Day).

Remembering 1,
Remembering 2,
Remembering thousands of people
Who's life they had to lose.

Remember the people
Who made it out alive,
Remembering that they remember
All the people who didn't survive.

Poppy's grew on the field
Where many lost their lives.
That's why we wear them,
To honour those who died.

In one grave beside another,
There may be fathers,
There may be brothers.
The daughters cry,
The mothers don't lie
When they say they're still alive.

For even if they are not here
Physically, they did not disappear.
They remain inside our thoughts
They're the reason we could grow up.

So come on down
To our ceremony
This is not a
Lie or phoney.

Today on November 11th (11/11) we honour the lives of many soldiers who fought for our freedom.

In 1918, November 11th at 11:11 the war was lifted and peace fell upon the land for a short while.

Many soldiers lost their lives trying to build a world of peace. War may not be truly gone, for many countries still go through it, but it's better to lose trying than to lose without even stepping into the ring.

The real winner is the one that isn't afraid to fail. The soldiers that entered the battlefields are they real winners in the battle even if they aren't with us today.

They passed away serving their countries- their homes - which is the noblest way to go.

After reading this (no matter what day), please take a moment of silence and reflect on the past and thank the wonderful people that gave us life and freedom today.
Thank you for your time serving our countries.
