Oh god tonight's the night!Tonight I am going to find out what house I'm in. I hope its not Slytherin. I kept on hearing bad things about that house. Right now I'm in the library sitting at an empty table and reading a book on death omens. I know. morbid subject but I find stuff like this fascinating. I would be in a common room with the other kids but I don't have a house yet. I guess I have to wait until Dumbldore can see me. I looked out the window and saw that it was dark so I got up and walked up to Professor Mcgonagle. "Professer, Dumboldore told me to come find you so you can show me to his office." I said in the polite voice my mother taught me. The lady smiled at me. "Come along dear, keep up." She orderd and walked out. I followed, stumbling once or twice on a book that wasn't put away.
I was sitting on a stool in front of the headmasters desk with the Sorting Hat on my head. "Hmmm intresting, intresting. I have not seen such promise like this since Harry Potter." It spoke. "Yes, yes. There is one house that you will do better in. Slytherin!" It yelld and I felt my blood go cold. I took the hat off and put it on the desk then Mcgonagle handed me my robes. I took my robes and the omen book and followed Mcgonagle to my room. There were four beds in each room and I took the last empty one. I layed down after I put my black sheets down and black pillow cases. *Sigh* Its been a long time since I could close my eyes and not be on my gaurd. I arrived late so I missed dinner but I wasn't hungry anyway. I got up and threw on my robbes. Time to explore, I thought and walked out of the room and to the common room where the girls and boys in Slytherin hung out.
I saw the teen from the hospital wing. He was sitting on one of the ends of the couch so I sat on the other. I opend the Death Omens book and the pages were moving. The first one was a warning page. Simple Warnings that a death is about to happen
A picture that falls of the wall for no apparent reason
A clock that stops
A clock that fails to chime or ring
A mirror that breaks while still on the wall
A cat that leave the home and will not re-enter it
bird pecking at a window
An owl seen during the daytime
A dog that howls for no reason during the night
Hearing a mournful cry or howl. I could feel breath on my neck and I looked over to see ferret boy. We were so close there was barely an inch between our faces. I then noticed that we were the only ones in the room. "Why are you reading a book on death omens?" he asked me. "Um its very intresting?" I said like a question. He laughed under his breath. "I'm sorry about what I said in the hospital wing." He said in almost a whisper. I swalowed loudly. "Um its okay." I said in a shaky voice. He leand forward and pressed his lips to mine.
