Return of the Demon (Damian Wayne x Reader) Book III

Chapter 7

Hey, sorry for the late update, ive been really busy. School. Is. A. Bitch. Nov 12 my birthday so ive been busy with that too. Anyway heres a double update because its my birthday.

Raven created a portal leading back to the Titans' Tower in Jump City. The team walked through the purple magic and took in the freshness of the water surrounding them. It seemed like it had been a while since they've seen their home.

"Don't worry, I'm not staying," Raven announced. "I've got to keep moving to keep Trigon off my path."

"Where will you go?" Starfire looked down at the girl.

"It's better you not know. He's going to try to use you but don't worry. I put a protective spell on you, just in case," the cloaked girl warned them. Beast Boy joked about him eating a bad burrito. "Guess I should've gotten your permission or whatever. But I couldn't stand for him to corrupt you. You're the only friends I've ever really had. I'll...miss you."

She started to walk away and summon a portal when the person everyone least suspected stopped her.

"Wait," Robin held his hand up. "Leave now and you'll always be running."

"You have no idea what he's like, Damian." She kept her back to them. "You've never met a monster like Trigon."

Cardinal stepped beside Robin. "You beat him once."

"I was lucky."

Robin stepped forward, face to face with Raven. His actions made Y/n's nose involuntary twitch. "Now you'll be five times as lucky. If we can't save one of our own, who can we save?" Beetle told Robin he thought the boy hated the Titans. "I'm not wishing you dead anymore."

"Robin's right," Star joined them at the front. "We're your best hope.

There was a loud bang and a Boom Tube appeared. It was large similar to Raven's portals but instead of a dark purple it was whote with a golden orange glow. The silhouettes of five adults showed to be entering. It was Batman, Cyborg, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Green Arrow. The scarab on Jaime's spine began to act up.

"We heard about the attack," Batman began. "Was she at the center?"

"Her father's an interdimensional demon. He was after her," Starfire informed the Justice League.

"She's coming with us," Batman stepped to them.

Damian got into a defensive stance. "No, we can handle this."

The Dark Knight spoke for his group. "If she's part of this, we need to know." Batman and Robin were staring the other down. Cardinal rolled her eyes.

Genetics.

"G.A. come one," Cardinal spoke to Green Arrow. "Don't do this."

Wonder Woman spoke to the demon girl. "I'm sorry, Raven. We've had two magic attacks and Superman is still missing."

Raven grasped her head and hissed, leaning onto Star. "He knows they're here, he wants them here," she spoke in a rushed tone. "If they stay, everything will be lost."

"This is our job, Father, you have to leave," Robin spoke to his father. Beast Boy and Blue Beetle were shocked to hear the news the Batman reproduced.

"She's coming with us," Batman wouldn't stand down.

The Teen Titans got into their fighting stances as well as the Justice League. Starfire wanted to try and calm everyone down but Raven told her it was too late. Soon, shadow like beings crawled up the legs of the League members. The heroes tried to break free but only one planned ahead. Batman injected himself with an orange substance and he collapsed onto the floor. It was a nerve toxin for Bane. It caused the demon to let go of Batman and flew into the air and disappeared. Although, the same could not be said for the other four.They grew a second pair of eyes and their skin turned a bright red.

The now possessed Wonder Woman spoke in a distorted voice. "The Kryptonian has unearthed the infernal shrine, Raven." It was clearly Trigon speaking. Raven explained it was a shrine with magical properties.

Demon Flash spoke next. "You are the shrine's final piece." It ran shivers up Y/n's spine. It was weird seeing her Uncle Barry like this, as well as her father.

The two teams ran at each other. Robin knocked down Flash and began to have a sword fight with Wonder Woman. She kicked him to the side and rushed to the others alongside Cyborg and Green Arrow. The half robot man attacked Beetle but was electrocuted and Wonder Woman took his place. She stabbed through Beetle's shield. Using this as an advantage she threw him into the fountain the Titans used as decoration. Beast Boy attacked her in his lion form, jumping into an elephant but she jumped back and super punched him. BB fell over and turned into his normal self.

Green Arrow ran at Cardinal and attacked her with hand to hand combat. She was quick and used her staff to aid her. Possessed G.A. grabbed his bow and fired explosive arrows at her, which she dodged. Running up to him Cardinal jumped and kneed him in the jaw. He flew back and landed on his side. Cardinal pulled down her hood and ran to her father. She turned him over on his back to make sure he was okay.

"Oliver?" she worried. She looked at him closer until a giant hand wrapped around her neck and picked her up. Green Arrow was back on his feet with the girl in his hand high above the ground. He walked to the fountain and smashed her against the cement wall. Cardinal screamed in agony as her body caused the wall to crack.

Realizing she was losing oxygen fast, Cardinal had to figure out what to do. She didn't have her bow and she had fired all her arrows. She shut her eyes in pain and had to concentrate. There was one other thing she could do but it was a long shot. Letting go of Green Arrow's hand she tucked in her legs and fumbled for something hidden in her boot. Wrapping her gloved fingers on the lock pick she had, Cardinal raised it high above her head and slammed it down with all her strength into Oliver's forearm. He yelled in pain and dropped her.

As Y/n hit the floor she gasped for air and tried to get up and run to her bow she was caught again. Her father lifted her up and pinned her back against his chest, once again, off the ground. He was strapping her in and she couldn't move. Yelling Y/n tried to free herself until she felt something cold against her neck. She stopped moving and kept her head still. Green Arrow had an arrow to her throat. She could feel it digging in and drawing blood. Y/n bit her lip and closed her eyes.

At the same time, Beetle took on Cyborg. They both used their tech to blast one another and then took to the sky. They threw punches but Beetle lost when Cyborg blasted his face and the blue teen fell to the ground.

Robin had pushed Flash off of him when he saw Cardinal's state. "Cardinal!" Robin was thrown against some debris. He groaned as Flash pinned him down by the neck and stuck a vibrating hand through his chest.

Starfire was thrown out of the tower's windows and skidded onto the floor. Wonder Woman stood on her back and looped the lasso around her neck, choking her. "I will break her, Raven."

"I stop my hand for an instant and this one dies, too," Flash looked at her.

Green Arrow threatened, "One more centimeter and she bleeds out." Raven looked at Cardinal who had blood beginning to spill down her throat.

"Wait! I'll go. As the daughter of your Lord Trigon," she pulled down her hood and changed her face into something similar to the demons before her. "I order you to release these feeble humans."

With their order, Flash took his hand out of Robin's torso and let him go. Wonder Woman released her hold on Starfire, and Green Arrow lifted the arrow from Cardinal's neck and dropped her. Robin ran towards the red cladded girl and helped her sit up. She was barely conscious but was trying to apply pressure to her wound. Damian helped her up and placed his on her neck, applying slight pressure so she could save her strength. He needed to get her to their infirmary fast. The cut wasn't deep but it was still a neck cut. Damian looked up as Raven said goodbye to the Titans and as Beetle shocked the demon out of Cyborg, registering him unconscious.

"Help!" Robin called out to his teammates. They looked to him and gasped as they saw Y/n's still body and bloody neck. "We need to get her inside," he told Starfire. She nodded and gently picked her up and flew her inside.
