Theo's POV

The light shown through the curtains as I slowly opened my eyes, hair covered my face.  Y/n softly snored next to me, I watched as her stomach slowly rose and fell over and over again. She looked so peaceful. I don't want to mess things up. I love her truly, I want to help fix this cruel world, but then again she would be worth a lot. A soft groan came from the girl laying next to me.
"Theo?" Y/n said in barely a whisper.
"Yeah, I'm here," I smiled softly at her when I noticed she wasn't even awake "Y/n? You awake?" No answer, welp guess she's still asleep. I got up slowly and slipped on the hood of the cloak. I wrote a note for Y/n before walking out of the small hotel.
There was a slight breeze filling the air, not many town folks crowded the streets, thankfully getting bread would be easy. I pickpocketed a tall man before dashing to the small old corner store. Inside the store, an old woman sat in a wooden stool holding a small child. The people in this town had all been fugitives, they had kept their children from the government. The government gave up trying to get the children, but however, the children aren't allowed proper schooling or clothing.
"Welcome," the old woman cheered "Anything I can help you with?" I smiled softly at her and pulled down my hood.
"Yes, I was actually looking for some bread, and maybe some jelly." She smiled and sat the small child down on the chair and waved for me to follow her. I followed her to a room filled with food and other supplies.
"Take only what you need." She handed me a bag and walked back out to the child. I picked up the bread and some jelly, I also took some crackers and things that took longer to go bad. Over my thoughts, I heard a deep man's voice yelling at the old woman. I saw the old woman point to the back room the same room I was in. I heard the loud shuffle of guns and armory.
That bitch! she sold me out!

I looked for an exit and found a small crawlspace door, I opened it slowly and through in some more food before crawling in. It was a tight spot but it had enough room to crawl through.
I crawled and eventually found the ending. It luckily led to the back alley by the small hotel Y/n and I had been staying at. I ran to the room and quickly opened the door inside Y/n sat peacefully asleep just as I left her. I smiled and set down the bags of food. The harsh reality of guards finding us fell upon me.
