As the cold breeze of dry air blew the dust on Leima's shoulders, he began to twitch. "Oh crap, my contacts are starting to corrode. I better find some oil as soon as possible." He whispered while looking up to the rocks that partially covers the chasm he is in.
He found himself walking inside an abandoned factory after walking the entire night. He noticed a pile of scrap robot parts inside a big empty room. "Hey. Erm. Is there anyone here?" He searched for signs of recent activity. There were deep scratches on the floor that leads to the slightly lit room at the end of the hallway. "Weird." He said. He turned on his light and started to walk towards the room. Limping slowly, he heards a voice saying, "Who are you and why are you here? Leave at once. You'll find nothing here.". He stopped for a second and replied, "I just need some oil, sir. Can you spare me some? I'm just a traveller. I won't be staying here so don't worry.". "Come in then. Is a gallon enough for you to leave me alone?". Leima slowly entered the room. "Here take this and leave. I don't want others lurking inside my property.". The old makeshift workshop's rust lingers inside his air sensors. The robot he was talking to is sitting on a wheelchair waiting for him to enter the room. "What happened... to... uhm... your legs?". "You really want to know what happened huh?". "You see, sometimes we live our dreams. We would always think that things go on forever. We tend to live everyday always expecting a beautiful tommorrow but not realizing that one day, life could turn around in an instant. Destroying your dreams, passions, goals, etc. Leaving us in an abyss where we seek for a light to shine upon us. Searching endlessly for answers. But in the end, we're still lost. Helpless, hopeless, and morbid we become. Reminiscing the past where you were happy and fulfilled. Blaming everything even though you know that deep inside, things are inevitable. You walk and move on but still, the scars from the past remains. Staying in one place self-pitying and hoping that one day, you will see a glimpse of light that would guide you to a new world, a new life. In a place where you could start over and heal the wounds. A place where you could be a better version of yourself once more for a second chance.".
