Chapter 5

Bilware steered Betty's reigns as she trotted slowly through the town of Palon Valley. He knew some of the people he passed and the people knew him. He was a well known as a gnome and a wizard. His first destination was to the Blacksmith to find out exactly what is it that is so special about the sword that Eliza found. And to what royal family does it belong to? He wondered. This would of course affect which route to go through with next. He knew that Eliza would want to find her grandfather first but, this one sword could start a war within itself.

The city was filled with happiness and it could be shown as the people of the streets hopped from one store to the next. Kids would chase dogs and play as dragons and knights. I wonder if they are aware of the evil Racon? Do the townspeople educate their kids? Debating the thought in his head Bilware continued the road that led to a small building across from Madam Lusk's fashion store. Bilware pulled slightly on Betty's reigns and hopped off. He then quickly grabbed the Sword out of Betty's left satchel then quickly ran into the store debating whether he should take the shield as well, or would that be too big of an exposure? Bronar, was at work hammering newly forged sword. He then looked over to his newest customer and placed the tip of the golden-orange sword into a pail of water. Smoke arose from the pail and then Bronar walked over to Bilware. "What can I do you for today Bilware?"

"Well you can look at this sword," Bilware said.

Bronar walked a bit closer to Bilware with his eyes opened wide. He knew instantly. He held out his hand. He checked the balance. "This is the sword that Grandon created for his son. Where did you find this," he said in almost a demanding voice.

"A girl I met found it."

"Who is this girl you speak of?"

Just then Bilware realized he didn't even know her name, she knew his but she never introduced herself to him. He then realized he kissed a girl that he hardly knows. He shook off the question by grabbing the sword back from Bronar and twirling it around, he then reached into his pouch bands produced two golden Unks and handed them to Bronar, "it's for nap day, go get some rest. Rent a room in the inn."

"As soon as I finish this sword that I am working on," he said as he pulled the well crafted sword out of a pail of water.

That was close, Bilware thought to himself.

Bilware waved goodbye as he exited the forge, he made haste so that Bronar couldn't have time to realize that Bilware ignored his question. Bronar was of course a light minded fellow. Ignorant is not the correct term for him but he heeds little attention and awareness to his surroundings. Bilware was in full content as he noticed Betty was waiting for him just outside the forge, what he wasn't ready to see was Eliza, she looked pretty damn mad too. She hopped off of Betty petting her as if she was reassuring her that everything is ok. She cut her eyes at Bilware. Bilware was aware that Eliza was mad because he had the sword in his hand and Betty was not even tied to a horse post. Eliza was accompanied by Madam Lusk the one who wears too much makeup. But this time she didn't have very much makeup on at all which made her look very pretty.

I looked over at Bilware. I then realized I never really did introduce myself, but I didn't want Madam Lusk to see me. What would she think about me allowing someone to kiss me without even knowing my name? I decided to come up with a way to get Madam Lusk to say my name without her realizing she was even doing it. I thought to myself how can I get her to say my name? It hit me I will say something inappropriate. I looked over to Madam Lusk and pointed to Bilware, this is the gnome I kissed. Madam held out her hand and said "delighted." Bilware looked at me confused, it must be just a human gesture but, the objective is to kiss the fair ladies forehand. I stepped behind Madam Lusk and did a kissing motion then pointed to my hand. I dramatized the kissing without realizing it. This of course was a horrible mistake.

Bilware grabbed Madam's hand and then went to town with it. Tongue and all, Madam stepped back. She had a grin on her face. I did not expect to see a grin. I expected her to bless him out and give him a refresher on the finer manners of Dragnarian society. Well I figured she would have said my name by now let's see. I realized I haven't even introduced Madam. I then stepped from behind madam and pointed to Madam. This is Madam Lusk the most beautiful woman in all of Dragnara. I figured she would blush and say, oh Eliza hush, but just before she could two horses came trotting up beside us. Damn, Billware will never know my name at this rate.

It was Rinson, he was on one and he had another one that he was grasping the reigns to. He was a dear friend of my Mother; he was infact a wizard too. I imagined that he would want to join the search party, but then I realized he probably doesn't know.

"Eliza, can I speak with you in private?"

"Sure," I said kind of confused. I was somewhat relived that Bilware now knew my name.

He signaled to the other horse and then I took the signal as he wanted me to travel with him. I looked at him for a moment.

"If you want me to go on a search party for Grandpa, I am not going without Bilware and Madam Lusk I already promised them they could come with me."

"My dear Eliza, this doesn't concern them. This is not their quest it is yours."

"My quest is to protect my girlfriend." Bilware said with his chest poked out.

The long dark figure stepped off of his horse. His eyes had a smoke that looked like they came from the grey seas from the north. He towered over both madam Lusk and Bilware. "And you don't think it is my job as her God-father to keep her safe from the vermin of Dragnara?"
