Happy reading :)He once said,
Love.
It was silent.
Pain.
It was deafening.
A curse
That breaks us.
A sacrifice.
That brings us.
Two different worlds.
We were never meant for each other.
It was a mistake.
Yet a blessing.
The world beneath us.
Was a mystery as always.~~~
"A girl of dreams, big enough, yet too weak. Now, her dream of being free is now taken away. No more, she says, no more, was left" I sang softly, caressing Lexi.
Her eyelashes fell onto her rosy cheeks.
Snow fell gently outside.
The night sky was an ineffable beauty of a thousand stars.
It was Christmas.
The firewood crackled as we sat under the low celling, cuddled together and wrapped in a blanket. Leading ordinary lives.
Without him.
Without my love.
A throbbing pain shot through me. My heart ached. How was he doing? In this blazing winter night.
That sacrifice caused this.
How I wished, like everyone else, to have a happy ending to the story, to my story.
Glancing around the room the house no longer had fancy chandeliers, high chairs and ridiculously wide rooms with marble tiles. Or even guests of important roles, powerful people in our family, maids running after me. I no longer needed to wear sparkling gowns, have a lady-like behavior and for people to call me, "Princess Avery."
I didn't have to live in a world with a facade of lies, labels and broken families.
And I didn't have to wear the crown to name me princess.
It was just simplicity now. Now that I've left everything all behind, to seek joy, the joy of living for once.
But I was happy here, happier than before.
And I know, he, Lucien, would be happy for me too.
