prompt: introducing david to your child, (pre relationship)
david was the guy that helped you throughout the whole pregnancy. he took the role that the father of the baby would take. he was so caring and thoughtful when it came to you and your baby.
"hey." a familiar voice spoke and mop like hair was seen first, and david's goofy grin as he leaned into the room. "hi." you whispered softly, heart swelling by the sight of david.
"how are you?" he asked still standing at the door, holding a bouquet of flowers. he looked so awkward and like a child who was afraid to touch anything, scared to be in trouble. the smile grew more on your face. "i'm good."
"you know davey you can come more in." you added with a small laugh. "stop laughing at me." david squinted his eyes at you and he walked more closer to you.
his eyes along with his smile grew, immediately you had known that he saw your son. "he's cute huh?" you asked winking at david who was placing the bouquet of flowers on the side table. "he's so cute."
"come sit right here." you spoke patting an empty spot on the bed, next to you. david moves to sit right next to you. the smell of strawberry kids sauve filled you nose and you reached over to the bassinet that held your son. "wanna hold him?" you asked as your sons big chocolate brown eyes stared up at you.
david eagerly nodded and held out his arms. you softly placed your son into his arms and he awkwardly moved his hands, holding your baby in his arms awkwardly. his face touched your little baby's and a wide smile was on his face.
"he smells so good." david added moving his arms into a more comfortable position.
