not looking for easy

Casey's POV

Holy shit. Its been a week since Iz and I kissed in front of coach Crowley's office. And I mean things have been great between us, but I'm still not sure if we are official. Like I know that I want it to be and I'm pretty sure she does too, but we have never really declared what we are. So I just took it on myself.

"Hey Idiot", I entered Sam's room. "Knock next time", he snaped back but I ignored it and sat on his bed. "I don't know if this will sound strange, but I need your help." He closed his computer and turned around in his chair. "Well I think you need to find friends to give you advice. I'm not particularly good at it. Maybe ask Zahid."

I sighed... "But I want advice from my big brother!" He looked at me in a strange way but then said: "Alright, I can try, I guess."

He already knew about me and Izzie, since he saw us. He was so amazing about it, which is mainly why I asked him. I don't have a lot of other people that know what's going on so I just thought I'd go to him. I wasn't sure if I was gonna regret it, but hey, I thought, it was worth a shot. 

"I wanna aks Izzie to be my girlfriend, but I'm not sure how to do it, because I want it to be special." Startled he asked "You guys aren't together yet? Oh. Well, you could build an igloo?" 

I stared at him. "A what now? How are we supposed to do that if it hasn't snowed yet?"

He looked out the window. "Oh yeah."

I started laughing like a dork. But I couldn't stop. I was imagining Izzie and me sitting in an Igloo and the thought of it was just hilarious. Her wearing a fluffy jacket with a matching hat and scarf.  That would be so her! I start to like the idea just a little too much. "Got anything else? I was thinking like doing something small, but meaningful, if you know what I mean."

"You could take her to the spot you first met?"

I had thought about that, but I met her outside of Clayton. Plus our first meet wasn't really the best. She hated me and I was a little overwhelmed, but look where we are now! "That's not an option, we met in front of school."

"You could also set something up in the spot that you guys had your first moment, I mean like kiss." He looked me in the eyes. "Not a bad idea", I said, impressed. 

I could blindfold her and bring her to the Clayton Track. I could maybe play some music and then tell her how I feel about her and then, FINALLY, asking her to be my girlfriend!

"Thanks!", I yelled as I stormed out of Sam's room.

I wasn't going to rush anything, because I knew we had time!

Since it was a Saturday, I didn't have school and I was just endlessly bored. I had a biology and calculus test next week tho, so I knew I should study. 

My phone went off. I picked it up from my desk and read the message:

𝗜𝘇𝘇𝗶𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗹: Hey! I miss you, wanna hang and maybe get a milkshake?

I replied right away with a big smile on my face!

𝗠𝗲: I'd love to hang, but I have to study, so no milkshake... but you could come over? ;)

I saw the little bubble showing that she was typing. It seemed so long till the message finally popped up.

𝗜𝘇𝘇𝗶𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗹: I'm totally down babe. I can bring my homework to, but you're gonna have to help me! I don't get a single thing in neither chemistry nor biology. :(( Maybe we can get something to eat once we're done! Well anyways, my grandma has our car... can u maybs pick me up??

I read the message. 'Babe'? I got butterflies going crazy in my stomach. I quickly texted back.                    

𝗠𝗲: Yeah np! I'm already on my way!

I took my keys and headed off to Izzie's house.
