"DAD!" Mason screamed as loud as he could, but it wasn't any use. A crook had grasped onto him and had no intentions of letting go. Marvin was nearby, faced by a tall and slim man. The look of anger in his face was not one he'd ever seen in his father before, "Let him go, you bastard." The man laughed and smiled wickedly down at Marvin, "Now, now, Mr Lewis. One wrong move and I'll ask my rookies to dispose of your son immediately."

Marvin took a cautious step back, "What the hell do you want from me..?" The man started circling around him, "I've been keeping a close eye on your son, I know what qualities he possesses. I feel as if it would be much more suitable if he just wasn't here. Don't you think?"

Marvin's eyes widened, "The hell? I'm never going to let you kill Mason..."

The slim man smiled, "He must've got his disastrous abilities from somebody, and I can definitely believe that he got it all from you."

His father grunted, "What are you proposing?"

A wide grin smiled down at him, "Since you're like your son, why don't you kill him? I'll let you live."

Marvin's eyes were filled with dread. He looked at himself and then looked back up at the tall figure in front of him. He knew exactly what he needed to do, "Alright, I will..."

Mason's eyes widened in shock, "What?! Dad, no!"

The small boy was horrified by what he had heard. He didn't want to die! He squirmed in the arms of the crook, by the grip that held his hands was too strong. He was thrown in front of his father, looking up with tired eyes.

A small dagger was placed in Marvin's hand by the mysterious villain, "Go on, friend. Do what needs to be done."

Marvin picked up his son, hovering the dagger above his chest. Before he could swipe down, Mason was thrown out of the way from the crowd of bastards that surrounded the both of them. The group became furious with the taller man saying in a cold voice, "You needed to kill him, Marvin."

Marvin shook his head hesitantly, "I could have never." His head turned to look at Mason, "Make this count, buddy."

"You truly value this boy's life more than your own?" the mysterious figure asked.

Marvin sighed, "Of course..."

A laugh broke out from the crowd surrounding Marvin, the laughter breaking by the tall man ordering, "Kill him!"

Mason was horrified to say the least. He ran away, tears streaming from his eyes. He felt weak and defenceless, all he could do was keep running. There was only one thought in his mind as he ran away from the scene, 'This monster will pay for his crimes!'
