small sobs could be heard from the hallway; the quiet building making them noticeable.

no one was there; some lights were off and most of the rooms were closed.

except for chan.

he's always been an exception.

the only trainee left.

the one who has been in JYP's dungeon for seven years.

junghwa, aware of whose sobs it was, lightly knocked on the door of the studio and entered it.

chan was on the small couch, hugging his knees close to his chest and crying his heart out.

junghwa sat down on the chair in front of the desk, and turned toward the computer.

he put the headphones on and listened to whatever chris created.

his eyes widened; his head bopped to the beat, as his fingers tapped against the desk, already imagining lyrics to it. he bounced his leg swiftly, scared of the drop. his smirk widening; his pulse increasing.

some 'brrr''s and 'skrrrt's unconsciously left his pink lips.

he took the headphones off and turned to chris.

he tried to keep his composure but couldn't, a grin appearing on his face.

chris lightly blushed as this was the first time he saw his roommate smile earnestly.

"why is such a talented producer like you still here? jeez, just go and start your own company."

a light chuckle escaped chan's lips as he wiped his tears off with his hand.

"why were you crying?" the idol slowly walked up to the older one, and sat next to him.

"i just self-degrade myself a lot."

junghwa put his head on chan's shoulder as he played with the hem of his sweater paws, "you shouldn't. you're like the most cheerful and happy boy i know."

chris' lips became a thin line as he ran a hand through his hair anxiously.

"i'm sorry for being so mean. hope that we can get closer now." junghwa's statement turned into a question as he shyly looked at the taller one.

"i accept your lame apology. and agree with your really cringy wish."

junghwa sighed, "that beat was awesome by the way."
