She ran into the school late, as usual and he watched her from a distance. But Alice wasn't aware. She had other things on her mind as she tucked her strand of unruly hair behind her ears that stuck too far out from her head.
She had drank and drank the night before, and crawled into bed with sand sticking to her feet because she was the girl who fell of the swing and broke her arm and she was used to feeling numb.
So he watched her. He watched how she always had her nails painted black and her makeup was always smudged and he couldn't figure out if she did that on purpose or if it was from the night before.
He'd watch her leave during her break and then she would usually come back into the school walking in front of a different boy than the day before and her hair would be messy and lipstick smudged and a smirk on her lips.
Then he would imagine that the guy walking behind her was him and he would smile too.

His sister came home smelling like abuse that night. And she snuck into her room and thought no one heard her but Harry did.
He saw the dark bruising on her wrists and her jaw and he wanted so bad to find the guy that did this and bash his head into the pavement but he couldn't because he was still drunk from earlier when he couldn't take his mind off of her.
And so it was useless but he stumbled out the front door anyways and thought about maybe calling Zac and getting high but that wouldn't fix anything because his sister would still smell like abuse and the girl that fell off the swing and broke her arm when she was younger would never be his, so.
