I know I shouldn't be sharing personal information on here, but I need to talk to someone about this and maybe even get some help.
My best friend, Max Birkman, went missing about two weeks ago. I tried telling the cops, but the cops aren't looking much into it because there was no forced entry and security cameras show him leaving the apartment building perfectly fine.. They say that he probably just ran off somewhere, but I have a feeling that something terrible has happened.
Before his disappearance, we lived together as roommates in an apartment near a college we just got accepted into. One night, I got home from work and was met with a chilling sight when I passed his room. It looked like a tornado had been in there! Blood was smeared across several surfaces, many of his things were covered with slash marks, furniture was knocked over... The craziest and most eerie part about all of this was the phrase written on the wall in blood: "You can't escape".
I need to figure out what happened to Max. I'm going to search his room to find some clues.. anything to help tell me what happened. I'll tell you guys when I find something.

I found a journal that he used to write in. I'm going to read it. If anything suspicious comes up, I'll let you know.
