Yoo-Jin sat on her bed, looking out the window. Nobody had showed up for her birthday party. Right as she had given up hope, the doorbell rang. She ran to the door in excitement and threw it open. "Min-Ae!" She laughed and hugged her tightly.
"Hey-"
"Nobody else showed up!" Yoo-Jin's eyes began to fill with tears. "The party started hours ago, nobody was here.. I basically lost all hope!"
Min-Ae hugged her and comforted her. "Hey, it's alright! I mean, I'm here?" She smiled. "Yeah.. Thank you." Yoo-Jin wiped a tear off of her face and smiled.
"More cake for us!"
Yoo-Jin smiled at her attempts to calm her down.

The somewhat crowded sidewalks of Nightshade Grove were lit up by streetlights and decorations from houses giving out Halloween candy. Min-Ae, dressed as a polar bear, walked alongside Yoo-Jin, dressed as a grizzy bear.
They walked with their bags half full of candy. As they walked and talked, Min-Ae slowly reached our for Yoo-Jin's hand, but chickened out each time she did. She finally noticed Min-Ae trying to reach for her hand, Yoo-Jin grabbed Min-Ae's hand. "Scaredy cat!"
Min-Ae's face lit up with a bright red as she laughed. They continued to skip down the pavement going door to door and filling their pillowcases with candy.

After the night ended and their pillowcases were filled to the edge with candy, they walked home together, hand in hand.
Yoo-Jin yawned.
"I'm so tired. Can I stay at your house?"
"K-Eh- Yeah, but I'd need to ask-"
"Your house is closer I'll just tell your mom to call mine."
"Alrighty then!"
As soon as they got to Min-Ae's, they went up to her room and ate a few pieces of candy before they fell asleep.
