Hi? I'm Bella, a thirteen year old girl starting 8th grade. My life is pretty normal. I have one good friend named Sierra, and a pretty decent life. But one day that all changed, and because I did the seemingly impossible, I'm on the run forever. This is my life. This is my story.~Bella's Point of View.~
I slammed my locker shut and started running to first period, stumbling and almost dropping my binder along the way. This was just great, first day at a new school and I'm late to my first class? Fantastic!
I glanced over at my Schedule and back up at the classroom numbers to make sure I was going to the right class. I'd sigh, finding myself lost in the maze of classrooms. Taking a deep breath, I started walking around aimlessly trying to find first period. Of course I had math this early in the morning. I'd grumble to myself and keep walking around.
I had been walking for about ten minutes before I decided to give up. I made my way back to my locker, amazed that I had actually found it. I struggled to get it open but I managed to grab my stuff before walking right out of the school. I could just hang out around town and go home when school was out saying I took the bus. I would be fine, right?
My feet kept dragging along the cold ground. My blue eyes would glance up at the cloudy sky every now and again, my brown hair blowing in the light breeze. I managed to pull out my phone and head phones with a sigh, putting them in and blasting music at full volume as I walked towards the closest park. I looked down at the ground with a sad smile. I pitied myself, in every way possible.
I had made my way to the deserted park, taking out my headphones before I sat down at the nearest bench. I took in a deep breath, stuffing my hands in the pockets of my grey sweater. As I looked up at the cloudy sky, I closed my eyes, listening to the gentle breeze and quiet birds.
After a while I had pulled out my phone, getting lost in the depths of social media's and YouTube. It was my specialty to entertain myself, I never had any friends, and I had gotten used to isolation. I had blocked myself off from the world, losing track of the forever ticking and ticking time.
Before long it was time for me to be going home. With a sigh, I'd look up at the forever cloudy sky again before putting my phone away. As I got up and stretched my aching muscles, I couldn't help but feel watched. I snapped up, alert as I looked around helplessly. All I saw where trees and brush, making me shrug. The feeling still remained.
I started walking, the feeling of something staring at me becoming more prominent. I'd snap my head to my right and glare at the woods.
"I know somethings there. It's driving me crazy.." I'd whisper to myself, thinking I had lost my mind. I walked into the woods silently, looking around constantly at my surroundings. Pretty soon every tree, bush, and bird looked the same, and I had found myself lost.Tears would form In my eyes, blurring my vision as I looked up at the darkening sky. I'd fall onto my knees, loosing hope as I started to cry quietly. I didn't pay attention to anything. Only the fact that I was never going to see my family or friend again. I fell to the grass and sobbed, crying myself to sleep.
--------------------------
I awoke to the deafening sound of a twig snapping, sitting up with a jolt. I'd look around, the only thing being heard was the wind. A gasp came out of my mouth as my eyes landed on something. Something that scared me so badly I screamed. I scooted backwards until my back hit a tree, my eyes never leaving the spot. It was a dark grey with Sky and dark blue stripes. It had a dark blue tail and a head that seemed to be a skull.
I tried to calm myself down as I looked at the creature. It walked towards me in a curious manner, tilting it's 'head' as it stopped only two feet away from me. I looked at it as well, my curiousness taking over.
"What are you..." *I'd whisper to myself. My hand somehow started reaching towards it. It would look at my hand and tilt its head once again.I would finally touch the side of it's face, and it would lean into the touch, kind of like a dog. Giggling, it'd the underside of it's chin and watch as it rubbed against my hand. I'd scratch the top of it's head and smile, questioning myself again.
"What are you?" I nearly jumped out of my skin when it whispered a response.
"I'm... lost." It's big fluffy ears would fall flat on it's head as it looked at the ground. "I don't know what I am."
"Do you have a name?" I'd look at it kindly, my expression and voice softening.
"Nara.. at least I think it is." Nara would finally meet my soft gaze.
"Well, do you want to come with me? I'm lost as well." Chuckling, I'd watch as he'd perk up.
"I'd like to.." Nara would walk closer to me, and I'd stand up and stretch myself. Sighing, I'd crouch down and pick Nara up. He'd gasp at the touch, questioning what I was doing as I casually set him on my shoulder. He'd stumble and wobble a bit before regaining his balance and nuzzling his face in my hair. I'd giggle and start walking, happier now that I wasn't alone for once in my 'normal' world. And that 'normal' was about to change.
