Alby thankfully managed to send the group of onlookers to disperse and started what he liked to call ‚the tour' of the place they called their home as he already explained. "As I was saying, all we remember is our name so you will probably remember yours-" He was interrupted as the girl interrupted him sternly shocking Alby and the other boy who annoyingly insisted on coming along to their little introduction of ‚The Glade'.
"Luciel. My name is Luciel." You could say she was quite frustrated with this conversation as it still hasn't lead her to any answers only more questions. The young guys shared an amused look and turned back to watch her curiously.
"Okay... So you know your name. Well, that's good. C'mon we should first go to the homestead and then we can talk about questions you might have." At that Luciel grinned as her interest perked up. She almost jumped in excitement to which the still-nameless-guy shook his head amused, the smirk never leaving his face.
"Now that sounds like a good plan.""So, you tell me here are 50 teens give or take and we all are stuck in this massive field till we find a way out? That's fucked." Her eyebrows rose and then creased as she was deep in thought about her current situation. Alby told her that about 35 boys and 15 girls currently lived here. To her shock he also explained that only the boys had the same ability to shift into huge wolves. Whereas the girls were just 'normal human beings' as Alby put it. She did feel kind of bad for the girls, as they must feel weak and helpless against the boys. But Luciel could only feel the pride swell about her ability. She almost faintly remembered that feeling. Or maybe the blonde just now experienced it in a new way. She couldn't be sure.
The second in command of the Gladers, as they call themselves, also explained all the jobs and rules in the Glade to her. They were all logical and she understood their purpose but still runner just sounded more important than Gardener or Med-Jack. What with all of them being desperate to just escape this hell of a place. Luciel was surprised to hear that not one girl was in the team of runners with the reason that the stamina and endurance of a person able to shift is much more pronounced. Both of which were essential for the job. Thinking about possibly spending years to come in this place and setting all her hopes of one day escaping into others made her insane. She wouldn't allow herself to be locked up in a massive field all day doing some shit of a job in order to survive when all she wanted was to help all of them live. She decided then and there that she had to become a runner no matter what.
As she thought about all the possibilities to show her new Glade-father, till she met the actual Leader of this place, that she was more than capable to handle that responsibility, she was lost in her own world and didn't notice where she was walking. With a surprised gasp she ran into a hard body and found herself on the grass not even a second later.
A little growl escaped her as she rubbed her forehead and looked at the body. It was the boy whom she first met in the box-thingy. He looked down at her with his stupid grin and his stupid hair that looked so perfect, she just wanted to run her hands through those gorgeous black locks.
She quickly shook her head, ridding her mind of those horrendous thoughts and glared at the smirking boy infront of her. He chuckled and reached his hand out for her to take in order to help her up. She didn't even hesitate as she slapped it away and got up on her own.
"You know, doll. For a shifter you sure are clumsy." Without her consent a louder growl emitted from her pursed lips. She noticed in that moment that her temper seemed to be at the shorter side of things. Luciel was surprised that she wanted nothing more in that second than to rip his heart out of his chest.
"Okay, doll. Enough of that. We don't want people to see you embarrass yourself." Now he was just provoking her to step into action. Luciel and the prick both knew what he was doing and only one of them was enjoying it. As Luciel glared at him she felt her anger rise when she looked at his smug little grin and saw nothing but red.
Before she could comprehend what happened she merged into her huge wolf-form and attempted to attack him. Keyword being ‚attempted'. The black haired boy easily caught the wolf in a hard grip around the neck and dragged her lazily away all the while she was snapping and growling at him. Alby was distantly screaming after them. But apparently trusted the boy who still held her tightly to handle the situation smoothly as he did not even attempt to follow them. She saw herself being lead away from the group that started crowding around the commotion but dispersed as they noticed their retreating figures. He shoved her into the big building which she previously learned was the Homestead. Although used a different door than the main one leading to the big sleeping halls, one for boys and one for girls. Finally reaching their destination, a room on the first floor in the building where only keepers and runners resided with esch their own room, including Alby and the boss. The room they entered held nothing more than a bed and a big chest. The second he let go of her she immediately tried to sink her long canines into his neck, again without success. The boy just rolled his eyes and shoved her further into the room.
"Shift." He commanded with crossed arms seemingly annoyed with her stubborn attitude. Luciel just let a growl emit from her mouth in response. He sighed and pulled his shirt over his head handing it her. She was taken aback by his glistening chest and delicious looking six pack. Luciel was shamelessly checking him out knowing he had a smirk on his lips even without looking at him. Huffing out a breath she tried to concentrate with closed eyes on her human body and successfully shifted back. The few seconds before she managed to get the shirt over her head, the black haired boy admired every curve he was able to get a glimpse of. Turning back around to face him Luciel raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms over her now covered breasts. As he saw Luciels face he immediately raised his hands in defense and grinned.
"Oh, so you're allowed to check me out, but I can't do the same?" Narrowing her eyes she came up with nothing, but a simple 'duh' as her response. He just shook his head and chuckled under his breathe. She broke the silence huffing and asking whos room this was as she thought only keepers got their own room. Rolling his eyes he stated slightly amused:
"Minho. Keeper of the runners. A pleasure. I'm sure." His grin never faltered as he watched Luciel heave out a breathe of frustration. She pinched her nose slightly and tried to, as politely as possible, ask how she could become a runner. Not shocked at all Minho crossed his arms and shook his head, obviously finding her question ridiculous.
"You can't become a runner. You're a girl. You may be able to shift like us, but that doesn't mean anything." With each word coming out of his mouth Luciels anger rose and burned deeper till she felt like ripping his eyes out and shoving them so far up his arse that he could taste them. Her fists balled at her sides and her face turned scarlet from anger. She was about to scream at him just as Minhos chest began rumbling from laughter. Anger turned into confusion and her posture changed slightly. She leaned back slighty almost afraid of how insane he looked in that moment. As his laughter died down he looked back at her and couldn't help, but let his mind swirl with nasty thoughts about her. Maybe he could have some fun with her, Minho thought. He tried to stop his mind from going too far, but Luciel caught his wandering eyes which were exploring the length of her exposed legs. Thankfully the shirt was long enough to cover all her private parts but still only reached the top of her thigh. Her eyes lit up as her brain filled with a brilliant plan to get what she wanted. Truth be told, the plan didn't seem as unpleasant as she tried to tell herself it was. To some absurd extent she could appreciate Minhos good looks and confident nature. Wierdly enough she felt her excitement grow as she imagined how far she would go just to get what she wanted.
So with her plan in mind she let a sly grin slowly grace her features.
"So, Minho. Keeper of the Runners hm? I wonder if that runners body can do more than just run." She started smoothly as she let her fingertips trail along his very muscular arm. This seemed to shake Minho from his daydream as his whole demeanor changed in a few seconds and his muscles tensed till he regained his posture and smirked at the beautiful girl. Of course he noticed immediately what Luciel was doing and honestly in his opinion she did an excellent job at executing it. Even though almost every girl on campus tried to have their fair share with him which soon got boring, he was intrigued. He was what most called him a ‚womaniser' but little did he care about what people thought of him. Minho just wanted to enjoy his time in this place because hope was definitely not something he still had. But every girl he had been with, or at least could remember being with wasn't even remotely as beautiful as her. Minho couldn't even imagine what it would be like to sleep with a girl as feisty as her, it kind of turned him on if he was being honest.
"There is only one way to find out, doll." His lips were so close to her face she feared that she would forget how to breathe. She would never admit it, but he did make her feel some unwanted emotion deep inside her belly. After a moment of confusion she deduced that it was lust. She felt lustful which then in turn made her feel sinful.
