Golden hair lay across the floor shimmering in the little light the cracks in the metall walls allowed to come through. Long lashes courted around two closed eyes as a girl lay unconscious in a small metalic room. Around her boxes and sacks littered the cold floor.
The young woman awoke gasping for air. The groan escaping her mouth overtuned the sounds the elevator-like room made. Any memories of where or who she was absent of her mind. Panic tried settling inside of her but she stubbornly pushed it aside to further assess her current situation.
She should have been scared of the situation or the room she was caged in or the lost memories of everything she ever experienced, but she wasn't. Determined to find a way out she calmly sat up with a quiet gasp and took in her surroundings. Her light grey eyes flickered over the room. As the light caught her eyes they almost seemed to set a silver sparkle on the wall opposite to her. Squinting the girl tried to see where the little light from outside the box came from but to no avail. She stood on shaky legs, almost falling into the boxes to her right. They looked just as rugged and dented as the room itself. Just as she regained her balance she started moving up, sending her to the hard floor and into one of the wooden crates. She grunted again louder, annoyed at the fall she had to take. The girl was about to roll her eyes till she noticed how fast she was nearing the ceiling. Panicked she jumped up trying to escape her possible death. After trying to find sone kind of lever or switch or button she came to the conclusion that the elevator like room could only be controlled from outside. Realising there was no way to escape the elevators or to stop the collision, she tried calming her rapid breathing. Her head clear of thoughts and just pure horror before her eyes. She couldn't do anything, but wait for her body to be crushed.
Suddenly everything stopped so abruptly that she fell once more right into sacks and crates in the corner, breaking most of them in the process. After a second of silence and holding her breath in anticipation the blonde let out a small sigh and slumped against the broken wood. Her eyes snapped open again as she heard voices above her. She scrambled to her feet and hid behind a few of the bigger boxes that seemed almost unharmed. The voices grew louder till the ceiling opened up and sunlight streamed inside the room. Squinting and raising her hand to cover her face she tried to make out anything other than the sun beaming down at her. Though she could lightly make out shapes standing on top near the edge that lead them to her own personal transport of hell she could only make out the shape of humans. The ground shook as one of the people jumped into it. To her surprise the person landed gracefully on his feet. Having not noticed her yet hiding behind the crates she took her time to analyse the person in front of her. He was tall and muscular which was quite prominent in his tight shirt. He was also wearing dirty brown trousers as well as some form of holster around his shoulders. His black hair was matted down to perfection and his strong jawline flexed as he looked around. His good build and strong body would definitely be difficult to take down, but her stubbornness overpowered her. As she thought that, she made her descision and waited till his back was fully turned to her.
Quietly, but swiftly she made her way behind him and charged for him. She caught his wrist, pinned it to his back, kicked into his leg and pinned his body to the floor with her sitting on his back. All that she managed to do in a few seconds, much to the boys surprise as he let out a gasp like grunt. She leaned her upper body to his ear and breathed a few seconds into his neck.
"Tell me where the fuck I am and why I can't remember anything, or god may help you, this will be the last thing you will hear in your life." She whispered harshly and pushed him harder into the floor for further demonstration. He just chuckled huskily and turned his head as much as he could to get a better look of the girl on top of him. A grin graced his features as he replied.
"Come on, doll. You don't want that. I can answer your questions, but only if you set me free. Okay, doll?" Sarcasm laced his voice with every word he spoke irritating her to no end. She hesitated and thought of possible escape plans. She made up her mind and let go of him with one last shove to the ground. As he stood up chuckling and dusting his pants he grinned up at the girl before him. But he realized too late that the girl didn't give him time to do so as she jumped on the boxes and heaved herself out of the elevater. She threw him one last grin from the top and ran out of his view.
She tried not to acknowledge the people around reaching out for her dodging their hands and running at full speed. After only a few seconds she heard fast footsteps behind her, but she knew better than to look behind her. The sprinting girl knew it was the boy from before as he screamed at her to stop. She grinned and pushed herself faster. Only a few more meters and she would reach the forest to which she was heading. She was momentarily distracted noticing the gigantic walls surrounding the clearing in which she found herself in. Ripped out of her mind she heard ripping of clothes behind her and a low grow. Risking a look she turned her head while running and was amazed to find a huge midnight black wolf behind her. Sprinting with all her might when she noticed the wolf was quickly catching up she reached the forest. Catching sight of a tree in front with a low hanging branch she gracefully grabbed it and swung herself on top. She scrambled to get higher without success. The wolf had caught up and caught her foot, yanking at it to make her fall back to the ground with a small yelp. The wolf pinned her there with its massive paws. She struggled and wiggled to get free even kicked at its legs, but nothing worked for her. The wolf seemingly got annoyed with her struggling and swung his claws at her face but not catching any real skin or damaging her. She stopped momentarily and the people that slowly caught up to them stilled. Her face contoured from shock to anger and she glared at the wolf above her. Suddenly she screamed in anger and pushed with an overwhelming might at the wolf getting him to step back. Ripping clothes and breaking bones could be heard as the blonde girl herself shifted into a similar wolf. Almsot as big as the black one, but with white almost silver fur. Only her ears, tail and paws were a golden blonde colour. The newly shifted wolf growled angrily and crouched down as she braced herself for a fight. She tried not be concerned about the fact that she also just shifted into a two meter tall wolf mich to the surprise of everyone around her. The black wolf before her regained his posture after second of shocked staring and sent a wolfish grin her way before merging back into the human she was running from before. He stood in all his naked glory in front of her with his arms crossed and smug look on his face.
"So, the feisty doll can shift! Wouldn't have expected any less.
Come on, doll. Shift back now. We ain't got all day." He spoke amused after putting some bottoms on that he got handed to him from some person around the two. The white wolf stood still and just looked at him confused. It seemed as though the girl just now noticed her change in appearance. After looking at her massive figure she looked back at the half naked boy, silently communicating with her eyes. The boy laughed as he understood and turned to one of the girls of the still shocked group around them. With one little hand motion towards a petite girl at the front of the crowd with matted hair and rags in her hands the eye contact broke. The girl scrambled to get a shirt from somewhere behind the crowd and came stumbling back over to lay it cautiously in front of the white canine. She herself took a few minutes to shift back, but seemed contend as she finally did. Quickly putting the way too big shirt on, she looked back at the strange people all around her. Masking her face with a stoic Pokerface she turned to face the blackhaired halfnaked boy. He stood there watching her with sn amised expression on his face.
"So, is anybody going to explain what the fuck is going on? 'Cause I am fucking confused." Annoyed she mimicked the position of the boy infont of her and crossed her arms over her chest. His grin widened as he took one too many steps for her liking, closer to her.
"This," He started streching his arms out to gesture around them.
"This here is the Glade. It is big, but also limited. We try our fucking best everyday to find a way out, but we are still at it, as you can tell." She raised her brow and looked him up and down.
"Maybe you are just not good enough to find a way out." She challenged, smirking as she did so. A few more steps later and the boys body was almost pressed against her as he spoke again, angered at her disrespect.
"And how would you know what is good and what is not?" she smiled at his anger and shifted on her feet to lean even closer, if that was even possible.
"Well," she whispered.
"I don't know if everyone here is like you, but if they are I have a good idea why you can't seem to find a way out." As the boy was about to counter with another witty retort, a young man strode over to them and spoke loudly,
"Greenie, you shouldn't test his patience" The boy was tall with very broad shoulders and dark skin that glinted in the sun. His eyes were kind but his face seemed tired and was marked with worry lines. „I'm Alby, the second in command of this bunch. We all can't remember anything before we get here, so that's normal." The blonde scoffed and muttered annoyed,
"As normal as this can get." Her eyes glared at the two boys who laughed at her response.
