CORBYN

"Hey babe! I miss you so much!" A voice spoke through the phone from the other end, the sweet sound bringing butterflies to my stomach as we spoke on FaceTime. I could see her face glow and it made me miss her even more than I had previously.

"Hey, I miss you too!"

"Do you know when you'll be able to come and visit?" She asked, hope clearly evident in her voice. It had been over 3 months since we had seen each other because of how busy I was with touring around the world. I felt really bad but ultimately, there was nothing I could do about it because it's not like I could just miss the concerts.

"I'm not sure," I said, scratching the back of my neck. "My schedule is packed with performances and we've got loads of interviews inbetween. But I promise as soon as I get the time, I'll be on a plane ride heading your way."

"Christina? Are you ready?" A voice said from the other side of the line, but I couldn't see the face so I was unsure of who it was.

"Yeah, I'm coming," she replied. "I'm sorry, but I'm going out for dinner. I'll talk to you soon though!"

"Don't worry! It's fine! Go have fun! I'll talk to you soon."

"Bye!" I said as I kissed her through the screen, sighing inwardly after hearing the two consecutive beeps signalling that she had hung up. This was how our conversations had been going recently. She'd always be busy with her things like her YouTube channel and friends and when she was free, I'd always be busy with interviews and performances. The time zones also meant that sometimes she'd be sleeping and I'd be wide awake and vice-versa.

I wasn't happy with how things were going and I know she definitely isn't. It was finally time to do something about it.
