CHRISTINA

"Christina, what's wrong?" I heard a concerned voice from the doorway. My eyes were red and puffy, and my top was soaked from all the tears that had fallen down my cheeks. My hair was tied up into a messy bun, but the sweat on my forehead made all the loose baby hairs at the front stick together. I had just finished talking to Corbyn, and after our conversation, I needed to let it all out.

"Nothing!" I replied hastily, trying to change my voice, so you couldn't hear it croak and facing away from the door so she couldn't see my face.

"You do realize that I'm your best friend right?" Paige said and even though I wasn't looking at her, I knew that she was raising her eyebrows and had her arms crossed. I could hear her behind me walking closer and then stop. "Please talk to me, Teena! You know that I hate seeing you upset!"

She walked around me and looked at my face, shock evident on hers. "Baby, what's wrong?" Her face frowning and taking up a concerned look. I couldn't hold it in anymore. I burst into tears as streams of water flowed down my face, and sobs escaped my mouth. My insides were being eaten away, and I couldn't keep it anymore. I needed to tell someone.

"Please stop crying! It will all be ok! Just tell me what's wrong?" she reassured, stroking my back to try and get my breathing back to a normal pace. I started sniffling and she hurriedly ran over to get the tissue box on my nightstand, and brought it over, handing me a tissue and placing it on the side just in case I needed more; which I most likely would.

"Now tell me what happened," she said, still confused as to what, for her, suddenly happened.

"I don't want to burden you with my problems."

"That's bullshit! I'm your best friend and I'll do anything for you."

"Well, to be honest with you, I don't even properly know what's going on myself. I just think that I've been missing Corbyn a lot and I feel like he is too busy with his life, and doesn't have time for me anymore. It's like he doesn't love me anymore."

"Aww, baby, I'm so sorry. He must just be busy with everything that's going on with the band. But I can assure you that he still loves you. Anyone would be stupid not to."

"I wouldn't be so sure about that. I doubt he even remembers that I exist."

"What are you talking about? Of course, he still loves you! You'd have to be blind not to see that."

"I guess I've lost my eyesight then," I mumbled under my breath so she doesn't hear me.

"Hey!" She exclaimed. I guess she heard me. Oops. "I'm just trying to make you feel better."

"I'm sorry," I sighed. "I just thought that he would at least visit me once. I haven't seen him since the last time he came: that was like 4 months ago, give or take a few weeks. I knew long-distance relationships were hard, but I didn't think I would struggle this much."

"Look, I know you and you are the strongest person I know. You will get through this. Everyone struggles in life but at the end of the day, there is always good that comes out of it. You just have to look on the bright side of life."

"And what would that be?" She paused for a second, most likely unsure about what to say. I couldn't help but laugh at her. She has these moments where she says something really smart but the thing is these moments only last for a short while, and then she goes back to normal, clueless about what to say. but that's what I loved about her; the fact that she will do anything to try and make you happy, even if she's really bad at it.

Once she noticed me laughing, she looked at me at threw the closest thing near her, a teddy bear that Corbyn had given me, at me as she crossed her arms and grudgingly grunted at me, giving me a death stare. "You know that I'm really bad at coming up with these things."

"I know, but I love you for trying."

"I love you too!" She said and before I could even comprehend what was happening, she jumped on top of me and hugged me as if she aimed to squeeze all of my insides out. After finally getting out of her grasp after struggling for what felt like hours but was only a few seconds, I breathed out a sigh of relief.

"Since Corbyn isn't here to hug you right now, I gave you an extra-long one so that it could be like a hug from both of us."

"Thanks, but when Corbyn hugs me, he doesn't exactly try to squeeze me to death." I chuckled.

"Oops. I guess I did get a bit carried away."

"Just a tiny bit."

"So, you know how we were meant to go out to eat," she trailed on, making me even more curious about what she was going to say.

"Yes," I said, doing hand motions with my hand and nodding my head just to get her to speed up and say what she wanted.

"Well, I was thinking,"

"Oh, come on! Please hurry up and tell me what you are going to say. You know how impatient I am."

"Alright, calm down, I swear you just finished your period the other day," she said, muttering the last part so I don't hear. But knowing her luck, I did. When I gave her a look saying 'Are you being serious right now?', she quickly coughed and carried on with what she was saying.

"I was going to say, before you so rudely interrupted me," she said slowly, taking her time just to irritate me. "That we should stay in and order some pizza and have a Netflix marathon."

"Do I get to choose what we're watching?" I asked, wiggling my eyebrows since she knew what was coming.

"Fine. You get to choose what we're watching," she sighed.

"Yes!" I cheered, ready to get cosy in my PJ's.

"What have I gotten myself into?" she asked herself, earning a laugh from me.
