Crystal's POV
Hogwarts is amazing! I have never seen a building so big, I don't know how I will find my way round. One of the teachers was taking the year to the grand hall for us to be sorted into our houses. I just hoped I wasn't in Slytherin because I didn't want to be anything like my grandfather. I was so worried, luckily I had Sophia and Maia there to occupy my mind. They said they were nervous too. Sophia's parents are muggles so there is not much pressure for her. But Maia said that her parents had both come to Hogwarts and been in Hufflepuff, so she was hoping she would be in that house. To be honest I didn't mind what house I was in as long as I wasn't in Slytherin. The headmistress McGonagall gave a speech to the school about rules and she wished us luck in our first term.
"Maia Teresa," was read out by mrs McGonagall.
She gave Sophia and I a worried look before sitting down underneath the sorting hat. It barely touched Maia's head when it shouted,
"Hufflepuff."
Maia beamed and went to join the Hufflepuff's at their table. Some more names were read out but then they read out the name,
"Albus Potter."
My mouth dropped. I had had no idea the boy at the station was related to Harry Potter.
"Gryffindor," the sorting hat shouted.
Albus walked away to the gryffindor table but my heart skipped a beat when I was sure I saw him wink at me. The next name to be called was,
"Sophia Silver."
Sophia took her seat under the sorting hat and after a while it called out,
"Ravenclaw."
Sophia and Maia were not in the same house! Next thing I knew my name was being called out.
"Crystal Riddle."
The whole hall froze. Everyone's eyes were on me. I tried to act brave and confident walking up to the hat. The hat then said,
"Hmm...Could work well in Slytherin but not too sure...Maybe...Gryffindor."
