"So, Momo, are we still up for that study session after school? I don't want to be a bother if you had other plans or anything..." Y/n's voice trailed off as she placed a few things in her locker.
"Don't worry, n/n! I have no other plans so it's just you, me, and our textbooks at your house this evening!"
The h/c haired student let out a subtle sigh of relief. "Alright, thank you."
Taking a final book from her compartment, y/n flinched as Monoma's boisterous laugh erupted throughout the hall. Her eyebrow quirked in confusion at what she was seeing over her shoulder: the new exchange student in 1-B was completely unfased, Kirishima and Kaminari stood pale as ghosts, and then Kendo began saying a few words, thankfully getting ready to hit the crap out of the annoying blond.
Y/n's eyes drifted back down to her new favorite book as she walked over to Jirou, the familiar sound of Kendo striking Monoma filling the void of silence, aside from the tapping of her shoes.
"N/n, I see you're enjoying the book."
"I'll admit, it's better than I thought it would be."
Jirou closed up her locker as well, casually leaning up against it as she unconsciously twirled her left earphone jack around her finger. "So-"
"Hey, we're trying to get through back here."
The vaguely familiar voice made both girls look up, along with their other classmates in 1-A. Noticing that it was only a few different students from the second class down, y/n glued her eyes back to her book.
"Our apologies!" Iida basically shouted back at 1-C, who had occupation of the locker rooms next. "Come along, everyone. Save your chit-chat for later. We're clogging up the hallways."
"I honestly can't believe how uncool you are." The same voice spoke again, y/n trying to recollect who it belonged to.
"Shinsou..." The name Tokoyami mentioned made her ears perk up, a small pink forming on her cheeks.
"Oh, right. The guy who fought Midoriya at the sports festival..." Jirou mentioned, sparing a side smirk at the flustered female next her.
It was no secret to the girls in 1-A that y/n developed a bit of a crush on the insomniac after the competition. And obviously they took every initiative to tease her about it.
Sero placed his hand on his chin. "You sure that's the same guy? Looks like he's bulked up a bit since then."
Now that comment, that's what made y/n look up, immediately noticing the form that he had built over the past few months. Her clouded eyes slowly gazed him up and down, her jaw dropping as she realized Sero was definitely not wrong.
"Stop undressing him, pervert," Jirou said, smirking as she pushed the flushed girl's mouth closed with her earphone jack.
"K-Kyouka!"
Y/n held her book to her chest, not willing to look back up - that is until her friend nudged her again. Jirou subtly nodded her head in Shinsou's direction, y/n shyly looking up once more.
Her breath hitched, Shinsou standing stoic, already smirking in her direction. Once he successfully caught her gaze, the insomniac carefully eyed her as she did to him, only at a much slower, almost dreadful pace. His dark, spirited eyes made sure to take note of each detailed feature as he gazed his way down, in no clear rush.
Y/n made an embarrassing attempt to tuck a strand of h/c behind her ear, only to have it fall back in front of her face as she looked to the ground once more. Her fingers nervously intertwined with each other, her book almost falling from her weakening grasp. Continuing to feel the boy's gaze, a harsh blush coated her cheeks, not that it wasn't already prominent.
Jirou sighed as she grabbed y/n's wrist, knowing the girl wouldn't be able to move on her own.
"F/n, I swear," she said, facepalming with her free hand. "Just talk to the guy. It's not that hard."
"It's hard when you're me," y/n replied, still in a frenzy and she tried to fan her heated face.
"Turn around and you won't get very far with that," Jirou muttered, referencing the failing cooling method.
Of course, y/n's curious, e/c eyes had to look back, only hearing "turn around", not realizing it would make her situation worsen ten fold - which it did. Her head immediately snapped back around, a squeak leaking from her throat as her eyes glanced around, thoroughly embarrassed.
"Calm down. Just cause he's staring at your a** doesn't mean you have to freak out."
A stutter of nonsense was all y/n could reply with. Her brain - it stopped functioning, not that it already did. But Shinsou, oh heck, he made the brain lag worse.
Jirou abruptly cut off her own sentence, realizing y/n, who was still in her panicking state, had no idea she was talking. She sighed drastically, continuing to walk in silence, occasionally glancing over to see y/n's vision glued to the ground.
"Kyouka!"
Said girl turned her head, seeing Momo rushing to catch up. Jirou slowed down as the girl approached, but made no effort to halt y/n, who was still walking to class in her own daydream.
"What's poppin'?"
Momo heaved a sigh, finally catching her breath with a mischievous smile. "You know how n/n has that cute crush on the boy from 1-C?"
The corner of Jirou's lips turned up, liking the idea of what Momo was pitching. She let out a "hm", indicating for the girl to go on.
"Well..."
The day dragged on for y/n, that is until it was time for her study session with Yaomomo. She was almost too layed back when it came to these weekly leesons - dressed in her pajamas and a messy bun, no make up, and an unorganized bedroom, where they normally studied.
As usual, the doorbell rang, y/n taking her sweet time to answer. Flipping the water bottle in her hand onto the counter, the girl opened the door.
"Hey, Momo."
"And hello to you as well, l/n."
Y/n's eyes snapped up, a single thought rushing through her mind as a blush of embarrassment ran to her cheeks.
"That's not Momo..."
