Pulling a blanket over them both, Izuku snuggled closer into the crook of her neck, placing a feather-like kiss on the exposed skin. "Happy New Year, Love."

"Love?" y/n asked, flustered by the new, slightly bold pet name.

An apparent blush formed on his cheeks as he moved back, nose to nose with the girl. "Well, I love you, don't I?" he questioned with an airy laugh, causing y/n to giggle as well.

Carefully wrapping her arms around his bare torso, y/n cuddled closer to the hero, her ear placed above his rapidly rising heartbeat. She released a content hum, her eyes falling shut as Izuku lovingly caressed his fingers across her back.

Although, her relaxed expression faltered as his remaining, scarred hand tightened around her waist, y/n immediately knowing something was on her lover's mind. Trailing a single hand up Izuku's torso, her fingers gently massaged his toned chest, his entire body practically unraveling at her affectionate touch.

"Izuku," she softly whispered, looking up to meet his meek, emerald eyes, "what's on you mind?"

A tranquil silence followed her words before he spoke, a dopey, love struck grin on his lips. "You're so beautiful, f/n."

Y/n felt her cheeks heat up, despite their previous engagement, at his benevolent words. Hiding her face, she pressed a kiss to his collarbone, overlaying one of the marks she had gifted to him earlier.

"B-But that's not all I have to say..." Izuku trailed off, flustered at the innocent affection given to him, followed by y/n's pure, e/c orbs gazing up to him.

Carefully placing y/n next to him, Izuku abruptly stood up, awkwardly walking to his strewn hero costume. Taking an unknown object from one of its many pockets, the hero concealed it in his palm, slowly heading back to the bedside.

Y/n gradually sat up in the bed, a nervous expression painted on her face as she held the covers to her chest.

"F/n l/n," he started, looking down to her, determination set in his eyes. "A-As cliché as this might sound, I have loved you from the moment I first layed my eyes on you. Throughout the years, during and since U.A., we've been through so much together, even more so now as pro heroes. I-I can't...and will never deny that I love you a-and forever will. So please," he paused for a brief, heart-stopping moment, stooping to one knee as he pulled out the box from his hand, opening it to reveal a breathtaking, diamond ring.

"F/n l/n, will you marry me?"

The silence that followed tore the man apart fron the inside out. Out of every bad thing in his world, he absolutely feared rejection, but not from just anyone, but from her.

"I-Izuku," y/n stuttered, doing her best to hold in a laugh. The hero's eyes widened as he expected the worst, mentally cursing himself for popping the question too early.

"I'm so sorry, f/n. I knew I should have waited for a better time. Gosh, why'd I have to be so stupid-"

"No! No, Izuku!" Y/n hastily stopped his condescending words, swiftly getting out of bed and going to pull the confused man into a hug. Although, instead of properly standing, her legs decided to not function, resulting in her toppling clumsily onto Midoriya.

Y/n burst into a fit of giggles as they both fell to the hardwooden floor, her arms wrapped around his neck as she hugged him the best she could in their awkward position. Midoriya protectively brought both arms around her waist as she laid on top of him, laughing uncontrollably. Continuing to clutch the ring's box in his right hand, he sheepishly smiled, never wanting to let her go.

"I-Is that a "yes", then?" He shyly asked, y/n calming her amusement.

"Of course, Izuku."

Her reply, followed by a simply, soft kiss to his jawline, caused an uncontrollable smile to decimate his expression. It a moment of pure joy, Midoriya tilted her chin up, pressing the most loving kiss he could to her lips. Sparks flew as he moved his hand to her cheek, deepening the affection further.

"How did I get so lucky to have her."

A minute of elation passed before the two finally parted, their chests rapidly rising and falling as a result of stolen air. Midoriya relaxed his head against the floorboards, y/n cuddling into his shoulder as they rested in silence.

"Wait," he breathed out, drawing the attention of his new fiancée. "Why did you laugh when I, y-y'know, asked?"

Y/n's eyes widened at the question, another grin forming as she stifled her laugh once more. Looking up to the green haired hero, her hand found its way into his, fingers perfectly intertwining.

"Izuku, did you forget?"

Midoriya ran his thumb over the back of her hand, his eyebrow quirking in confusion as she released a small giggle.

"We don't have clothes on."

The poor man's eyes widened as large as saucers as he realized the situation, y/n doing her best not to laugh once more at his flustered expression. Unconsciously looking down, he only became that much more embarrassed, noticing how her chest pressed against his.

Y/n watched with a dopey smile as Midoriya did his best to focus on anything else in the room, the heat from his face practically setting fire to his dozens of freckles. Moving a tender hand to his cheek, the woman caressed her thumb across his warm skin.

Softly cooing his name, y/n drew in his attention, placing scattered, calming kisses from his chin to his nose, finally brushing against his lips. Savoring the peck, she soon, but not too soon, pulled away, sitting up as Midoriya followed, leading her to straddle his waist.

Seizing the flourished, heart-warming moment, Izuku gently took y/n's hands in his, peppering kisses across her fingers. Oh, how the turn tables turned as she flushed a creamed pink, much to the satisfaction of the number one hero.

Finally sitting up straight, Midoriya deeply gazed into the e/c eyes of his soon-to-be wife. Leaning down, he pressed an slow, amorous kiss to her lips as if reminiscing every time he had kissed her before. Resting his forehead against hers, Izuku nuzzled their noses together, smiling as she returned the gesture.

Enveloping his torso in her arms, y/n embraced him as tight as she could, tears of happiness threatening to spill from her eyes as she rested her chin on his shoulder. Feeling his muscled arms tighten around her frame followed by a breathy "thank you", y/n allowed a single teardrop to escape the corner of her closed eye, only wanting to be closer to the man she most adored.

"F-F/n..."

"...hm?"

Izuku paused for a split second, almost rethinking his words. "C-Can I put the ring on you so we can c-cuddle more?"

As if she was registering his request, y/n gently nodded into his shoulder, pulling back with hooded, sleepy eyes. A meek grin formed as Izuku brought their hands between them both, slipping the shining ring onto her finger.

The pair shared content smile, their eyes not leaving their joined hands. Izuku's eyes subtly trailed up to those of his future bride, blatantly aware of her tired expression. Sparing a kind-hearted gaze, the man stood up, holding the woman delicately in his arms as if she was a fragile work of art - not that she wasn't already to him.

Slowly crawling back into their shared bed, Izuku sat down, his back against the headboard, placing y/n softly on his lap so her head fell against his chest. Drawing the sheets to cover them both, Midoriya placed one, last, tender kiss to her forehead, falling asleep with her in his arms.
