The train lurched to a stop. Albus hears stomping feet to get out. "Well, here we go! Hogwarts here we come!" Yelled Albus's older brother, James. "Don't worry, it will be fine even though you will be put in Slytherin" he snickered. He has been teasing Albus for the past hour."That's enough, don't worry about it. You will be put in Gryffindor for sure." Said their cousin, Rose, as the hopped off the train.

"First years! Come with me!" yelled a giant man, the others called Hagrid. "To the boats we go!" So to the boats they went. Or to the scraps of wood they went. Hogwarts never had enough money to buy new ones.

" Two per boat and no more" Hagrid yelled. "Are you sure the boats will even hold one person? I'm quite scared of drowning." Said a short, blonde first year."Don't worry, they are completely safe!" Hagrid told them, but at that moment, all the scraps of wood sank underwater. " I take that back," he said, "let's take the long way."

The first years and Hagrid all walked around the lake. When they arrived at the front door, they found a ghost cat. "Go down the hallway and wait for your name to be called, then sit on the stool while you are sorted into your house," she said. The children went down the long hallway and waited. Then they heard clapping as the ghost cat started to speak.

"Welcome! Welcome to Hogwarts!" Then more clapping. " This year will be as exciting as any other year!" Then more clapping. "But first, let us sort our new first years! Oh, yes, I almost forgot, the sorting hat is on his vacation, so I am pleased to welcome the sorting turtle!" Much more clapping as the turtle was presented. dua'a says: srsly audrey, a sorting turtle? i am displeased.

" Johnny Smith!" The cat ghost said. Johnny walked up and sat on the stool. The turtle was placed on a head. "RAVENCLAW!" the turtle screeched as if it was being stepped on. "Albus Potter!" said the cat ghost. Albus walked up, hands shaking, as the turtle was placed on his head. After a few moments it screeched, "FLUFFLERUFF!" There was silence.

Everyone looked at each other still in silence. "Don't you mean hufflepuff Mr. Sorting Turtle?" The ghost cat asked him. "NO! FLUFFLERUFF!" It screeched back. There was silence again.
"Let us continue. Albus go stand next to Professor Lily." She demanded. "Lily?" He thought as he turned around. He saw his worst nightmare, his little sister was Professor Lily. "What are you doing here?" Albus asked his sister, furiously. "I got a job. I teach defense against the dark arts."

"Scorpio Malfoy!" Said the cat ghost. Scorpio was the short, blonde, first year. He sat down. "FLUFFLERUFF!" The turtle screeched again. More awkward silence. "Is that turtle okay?" One of the professors asked the cat ghost. "Let's see if any other students are placed there. When the hat comes back it will properly place them."

"NO!!! THEY MUST BE IN FLUFFLERUFF!" The turtle spat, more silence. "Peter Willis!" said the ghost cat. She decided the best thing was to move on. The turtle was placed. "HUFFLEPUFF!" the turtle decided. No Fluffleruff.

"Pheobe Crane!" She said. "HUFFLEPUFF!" He said. "Tom Mcflabberson!" She said. "SLYTHERIN!" He said. No Fluffleruff.

When they finished, no one else was sorted into Fluffleruff. The ghost cat turned to Albus and Scorpio. "I am so sorry, you can stay with Hagrid for now. He will show you the way." She turned away and finished her speech. " Students of Hogwarts, have a great year. And for those of you who don't know me," she turned to look at the first years, " you can call me Professor McGonagall. Let the great feast begin!" Everyone laughed and cheered. They looked so happy.

Albus was not happy. All his life he was told about Hogwarts. It was a magical place where magical things happen. At least, that is what his father had told him. Albus was nothing like his father. James was though. He was nothing like James.
