Dorothy decided to take a stroll around the castle to get familiar with the environment. Although stupid had the digital map she wanted to scope out some secret passages and rooms in case of an emergency.

Stupid had told her there was an underground dungeon where they kept all the vampires that disobeyed the laws and she was interested about the likes of people down there.

Her hands shined as she descended down the many flight stairs. The people seeing the light twitched in annoyance and some in fear. Out of all the people trying to grab her and beg for freedom only a little girl had caught her eye.

The girl was standing as still as a statue not uttering a single word. She stared at Dorothy challenging, with an air of coldness and indifference radiating off her.

' Stupid, who is she?'

[She is a half-breed. The late King imprisoned her down her as an example that vampires should not breed outside of their race.]

"Do you want to get out pretty bird?" The girl stared at her in confusion." Yes I'm talking to you."

The girl slowly nodded. Dorothy used a burst of magic to break the lock and chains. " I'm Delilah."

"I'm Mila." She had the usual black hair but it barely brushed her shoulders and she had beautiful sapphire eyes that would instantly point her out in a sea of vampires.

"Nice to meet you." Dorothy smiled before gently pulling the young girl back up the stairs. The girl blinked in awe seeing the castle illuminated with light.

"Delilah." She pushed Mila behind her and faced Zea head on.

"What do you need?"

"What's that behind your back?" Zea stared her down suspiciously before she saw flash of blue behind her.

She saw a small girl around seven step out confidently. Midnight hair, porcelain skin and big blue doe eyes. Zea was shocked. She looked a lot like Dorothy except for the eyes.

"Is this your child?" Zea was in a daze. The resemblance was uncanny.

"No but isn't she cute." Dorthy sighed in bliss.

Zea nodded in agreement. " You know how she'd look even cuter?"

Dorothy's grey eyes shined while Mila started to slip away hoping she would escape before they would recapture her when she suddenly felt two arms wrap around her waist.

. .
. .

Mila was now dressed in a Lolita dress. The top was white and from the waist down it was blue that matched her eyes. Her black hair was in two pigtails with big blue bows on each sides.

Zea gushed over the little girl while Dorothy flipped through the many chests looking for more accessories. Ethan just stood at the door in suprise.

"What is the meaning of this?!?" Ethan stomped angrily. He had recognized the little girl from the dungeon. She was a dangerous threat and she wasn't ever supposed to get out of her cell but here she was standing the King's room.

"Ethan." Zea greeted." What's the matter?"

"He's probably just jealous of her cuteness." Dorothy had made her put on a white stocking and blue shoes.

"I'm telling his highness." Ethan had left with that statement. Dorothy knew she was going to get chewed out by the council when they heard.

"What was that all about?"

"Mila's actually supposed to be doing a life sentence in the dungeon but I broke her out." Dorothy ignored Zea's jaw dropped expression, took the small girl and teleported to the council.

"--put her back in the dungeon."

"I object." She grinned. With the little girl in her arms they looked like a mother daughter pair. The council, especially Caspian, was stunned at their similar appearance.

"Let's keep her." Mila squeaked in suprise when she was suddenly dropped into a person's lap. She looked up at Caspian with her big blue eyes shining.

Glancing at Dorothy's expected expression, he sighed before nodding. Ethan roared in protest. Caspian felt the little girl clutch his shirt in fear and sent a glare towards him instantly shutting Ethan up.

Caspian patted Mila's hair while Dorothy held her hands smiling. Feeling their happiness Mila's eyes teared up.

"Mommy, Daddy." She whispered but they had clearly heard her.

"You can call me Mommy if you want. I'm not sure about the iceberg over there." Dorothy teased.

Caspian's eyes twitched in annoyance. She had been poking his pride since the first ever Light festival. The day that Dorothy lit up the city the council had decided to name that day the light festival and have it every year when they saw the people so happy.

"I am not an iceberg."

"That's exactly what an iceberg would say princess." He regretted not painting the Camilia with her. Now she thought he was either too uptight or a germaphope.

"You can call me what you like." Mila started crying. He cradled her in his arms and wiped the tears from her face.

Seeing the scene everyone was shocked except Ethan who gritted his teeth and lunged for them. Dorothy instantly intercepted his attack and redirected it towards him.

"Kill him." Caspian seethed. The council men ripped him to pieces per their King's command.

Through all the screaming and blood the three looked unfazed and smiling like a happy family. Zea and a gang of witches suddenly burst through the door huffing and puffing interrupting their moment.

"A human was spotted in the deadlands."
