"Pack bitches are never seen near the border." Derrik scratched his stomach, with his hand slipped under his shirt as he laid on the floor. The rug under him was disgustingly bright and colorful, unlike the dull colors that he wore. His appearance was ragged, his hair an uneven mess and his clothes dingy. Yet, his hair was silky, almost raven like. His skin was unbelievably clear, without the scars riddling his body of course. "This is my area. I took over this place long ago. What the hell were you doing there?" His tone was as rough as sandpaper, and he talked too much for his own good. Avon couldn't help but look at him cautiously, if not full of disdain. She remained silent as he lay on the floor, staring up at her uncomfortably. It was as if he was somewhat socially inept, which isn't a surprise for rouges. "God, I fucking hate this." He growled, his sharp canines showing as he frowned. "You're so fucking hard to talk to, you know that? I'm getting embarrassed here and shit..." He sat up, rubbing his face in frustration. Though, it was true he was embarrassed - Avon couldn't help but notice the tips of his ears flushing red.

She had noticed the bandages and the different clothes that she had on, when she woke up earlier. A simple shirt, too big for her own good. The bandages were clean and fresh, and everything was covered in his scent. His scent was overpowering, almost like Tristan's. It was more than likely that Derrik was an alpha, which filled Avon full of nausea. Turning away from him, she stepped out of the bed and began to wander around in the room. Derrik quickly shot up to his feet, obviously full of anxiety. "Where do you think you're going?!" He almost stuttered, "I told you not to move!" He made his way towards her, which made Avon cower. Turning towards him meekly, her eyes towards the ground, she fiddled with her fingers. "Where are my clothes...?"

Derrik immediately took a step back. "Oh. Uh. Right." He stumbled over his words, before opening his wardrobe and throwing her clothes on the bed. "Here." With quick steps, he made his way to the door. Avon was almost entertained by how flustered this big, muscular man was by her statement. She had never seen such a clumsy alpha, who were seen as near perfection. He reminded her of Bryce, the right hand man of her pack leader. Also an alpha, he was kind, smart, and good at sports. Though, he is a little naïve in a sense, and slightly clumsy. Not as much as Derrik, though.

As he scampered out of the door, Avon watched as the door slammed shut with an echoing bang. She couldn't help but exhale sharply, completely amused. She slid out of Derrik's shirt, throwing it onto the bed and folding it neatly. He was the strangest alpha - no - he was the strangest person she has ever met in her life. She didn't know how to react, especially to his kindness. Was it really kindness? What if he was helping her with ulterior motives? After all, he is a rouge alpha powerful enough to maintain his territory. Or so he says.

Doubt and suspicion hung heavy in Avon's mind as she began dressing herself, before the door burst open once again. "WAIT!" Derrik's booming voice shook not only the room, but Avon as well. "Where do you think you're going with those wound-" he cut himself short, meeting eyes with Avon as she looked at him with wide eyes, using her shirt to cover her body. His face flushing red, he slapped a hand over his eyes before slamming the door shut once again. "AUGH!" She heard his muffled voice from the other side of the door. "H-Hurry up!" He cried, footsteps then stumbling away in a flurry. The doubt and suspicion that Avon held before had vanished long ago, the audible slap of his hand on his face still echoing in her mind. Derrik didn't seem capable enough to even think of taking advantage of Avon, even though she was an omega. It was even to the point where she began to question if he could even think that far. Despite the fact that he was completely able to physically overtake her, he seemed far too clumsy to be able to perform that act.

Quickly putting her shirt on, she sat on the edge of the bed with her head in her hands. She couldn't help but get second-hand embarrassment from this man.

Once again, Avon stood where she had lost consciousness. Derrik stood next to her, visibly uncomfortable. The entire way towards her pack territory, he complained about the scent of their pack. Avon, unable to hold back any longer, looked up at him with an air headed look on his face. "Do I stink?" She asked, gently. His eyes widened in shock, as he looked back down at her full of anger. "Wh - No, I didn't fucking say that!" He barked, frowning. It was almost as if he was baffled by her sudden inquiry, yet she couldn't help himself from teasing him. She sniffed herself, her clothes having a lingering scent of her pack house, but more of Derrik's scent had covered her completely. She was worried. What will the other members of her house think, especially since she was an omega that had ran away from home? Coming back with an unknown scent was already asking for trouble.

"You're really going back like that?" Derrik shoved his hands in his pockets, staring towards the direction where the pack house stood. "You're a fucking mess. If you have to fight again, you'll be even more fucked." Avon, once again, completely ignored what he had to say. Fighting back was never her intention, especially since she was considered the runt of the pack. With what fighting power did she have to fight back? There was none.

Avon had to go back. She had abandoned Mica to fend for himself back at the pack house, and even thinking about what they could do to him was enough to make her sick to her stomach. Stepping over the territory line, she turned back to look at Derrik one last time. Waving him goodbye, she began to run back with the fastest sprint that she could.

Derrik watched as she began to run back to the house, sighing and crossing his arms. "She runs too slow for her own good."
