Backstory (Updated)

I raised my left arm and tried to lift a small pebble and failed for the millionth time. "I thought magic was supposed to be easy, how the hell do people make magic so easy in shows?" I sighed as I started to walk over to the treehouse I have built years ago before THAT happened.

as I drew closer to my treehouse I hear a shuffle in the bushes, I raise my bow and arrow and point where the noise came from, and waited quietly, hoping it was an animal. After a few minutes of quiet, nothing came out. I sighed and started to put away my bow and arrow and walked my way to the treehouse but as I do so I felt a blade right at my neck. "Don't move, unless you want to have a scar for the rest of your life." I do what he said as I raise my hands. "I don't mean harm, what do you want from me?" I tried looking behind me but it's no use everytime I turn they push the blade closer to my neck as if trying to tell me to not look. "Open the bag now." I sighed as they removed the blade from my neck. As I slowly reach my bag, I turn around and tackle them to the ground, grabbed their blade, and pointed at the back of their neck. "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?" they struggle to get me off of them but gave up and sighed. "The name is River Heartworks." I chuckled at the last name. "River Heartworks? What are you? a Royal?" they mumbled something I couldn't quite understand.

"What was that?" they groaned," I said let me go." I shook my head "Why would I let you go when you attacked me?!" suddenly I felt them push me off and grabbed both my wrists and made me face them. There my eyes widen as I see something unexpected. "You're a skeleton?" "first off, that's just fucking rude., Second how the hell do you know I'm a skeleton?" He said in a sassy tone. before I could answer his question he sighed "you know what I don't care, what I do care is that you have something I want in your bag." I rolled my eyes "I don't have shit, I have my bow and arrow and food. That's it." He then leaned closer to my face to the point our mouths could be touching. "w-what the hell are you doing?" He said nothing and let me go. I scooted away from him and grabbed my bag. "Just wanted to see if you were lying." I looked back at him "why the hell would I lie? I don't ever lie." he shrugged "Don't know you so, I had to see if you were lying." I scuffed and walked away from him.

"Hey, sweet pea wait up!" "Don't follow me you-" I stopped and looked back at him "did you just call me 'Sweet Pea?'" I wasn't sure if he was smirking or not based on how he's covering his face with a type of mask but I was sure as hell he was. "Cause why not? You are short and smell like a sweet pea." I rolled my eyes and as I looked away from him then suddenly he was right in front of me. "How the hell did you-" "It's a secret Sweet pea," he said as he crouched to my height.

I pushed him aside and kept walking away but I could tell he was still following me. "Can you stop following me!?" I said angrily. "You seem...interesting so why not?" he said as he shrugged. As I walked away further than where I'm supposed to I was about to fall into a cliff, lucky for me the skeleton caught me before I did. "Watch where you going, sweetheart." I looked at him as he was holding me close to his chest, 'how is it possible that he has abs? I literally can feel them. HE'S A SKELETON! HOW CAN HE-" before I could finish my thought the skeleton spoke. "you really like to feel my chest~" he said in a flirtatious way, I pushed him away and walked where my home is. Once I have arrived I looked back at the skeleton. "Listen skeleton-" "River." "whatever, My house is up there, thanks for saving me but why don't you go back where you came from and leave me the hell alone." he sighed and looked down as he slowly walked towards me. He then crouched to my height once again and said "as I said sweet pea, you are interesting so, I'll stick with you for a while." he patted my head and climbed up to my house while I become furious with his response.

'I'll never get away from him, will I...?' I then climbed up to my treehouse where the skeleton, I mean, "River" was waiting. Little did I know someone or rather something was watching us from afar.

Once I have arrived finally in my house I then saw river slowly remove his mask and never thought I would say this but this guy is kinda hot. I shook my head, walked to my room, and grabbed new clothes to bathe at the small pond I usually shower. "Don't follow me, I'm going to shower somewhere."I knew he wasn't listening. I shrugged and went to the pound. As I arrived I removed my clothing and started to wash my body. I then heard someone behind me. I grabbed my small knife I always carry in case of this happening and went to kill that person but stopped myself and saw River right there looking at me. right at the moment, I blushed hard red "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE!?" I yell as I drop the knife and covered my chest. He smiled and said "I was just wondering where you went and saw you having a lovely bath in this pond. Just wondering if I could join in?" "HELL NO!" he whined "aww why not, sweet pea? it's not like I'm a pervert! I'm an honest man here, plus you looked cute sitting there." I groaned and pointed him at the treehouse as if telling him to go away.

He sighed and walked off but before he did he then yelled out "I'm not gonna stop asking until you let me join you one day, just so you know!" I got out of the pond once I don't see him anymore, put my clothes back on, and walked back to the treehouse still a blushing mess. As I arrived at my treehouse I see something from afar and hurried back to my treehouse and pushed the emergency button that I knew would be useful for something like this. RIver looked at me and asked, "the hell is going on?" I answered, "Something that you could have avoided if you didn't follow me back home." He then looked concerned and looked at the window where I was looking. "what the hell is that?" "Fucking fairies." he then looked at me "really?... Faries?" I then looked at him and pushed him a bit" "listen you fucking pervy numbskull, these fairies are evil and if they see you, they will not hesitate to kill at sight and lucky for us, I have a trap for them if they get any closer."
he then smirked "oooh I like that nickname~" I then shushed them and waited until the trap was triggered.

After what felt like forever the trap was triggered and then I hear silence. "ugh finally they're gone now." River then looked at me "was that trap to kill them?" I nodded "well, yeah? They are evil. if I trapped them and they escaped they would warn more evil fairies and then a whole army would come. Trust me..I know." he then shrugged and rested his head and whispered "so...about that nickname you gave me~" I scuffed and pushed him away and went to my room to bed.

as I fall asleep I dreamt of something very unlike me.

As he strokes my soft hair he then whispered in my ear and said "you know I love you right?" I looked deep into his eyes and said "I do, and I love you as well, you numbskull" He softened his smile and looked away "but...I'm a monster, just look at what I did to ̸̏͌͘ ̸͕̬͈͓̓̂̕ ̴̌̽ ̴͕̤̺̼̔͌͑͜ ̸̡̡̢̠̲̬̺̥̼̈́́̅͜ ̶̝̫͕̌́̊̌̽̕͘͘̕͠...I'm a fucking monster" "A monster?....why would you call yourself a monster?" I said as I hold his face"I love you in every way" as he grabbed one of my hands he slowly looked at me, he inches closer as if he about to kiss me.

I woke up before anything else happened and looked around and saw from my doorway River was sleeping on the living room couch. I huffed and shook my head and then whispered to myself. "I'm never gonna let that happen." as I went back to sleep River then rose from his sleep and was a blushing mess and huffed "shit...did I really dreamt that?" River then looked over at his Sweet pea's sleeping body from afar. "wow sweet pea, you really can make me fall hard that quickly." he chuckled as he went to bed.
