Jacob's POV

An attack, on the castle, I dunno how this was possible but apparently it was.

"Jake stay in here, I need to go check on something" Bell said exiting, the intercom came on again in a few minutes, I heard a muffled voice say that her parents were captured.

I ran out of the room heading down all of the twisty turns of the castle following my map. Everyone else was already on defense so I coudln't ask for directions.

"OK" I told myself "So I need to take a left and then a right and then-" I was cut off by a scream, I immediatly turned around and saw Bellum pleading with other supernatural beings who were attacking the castle.

"Please" she said in a small voice that I could barely make out "Please let my parents go, you can have me instead" She was visibly sobbing. I made my way towards her

"No, we wont take you and leave the parents here, if we murder them you'll still abolish slavery" They said spitting on her.

She walked forward towards them, I hadn't quite reached her yet, and held up her hands "Then take me too, I can't stand to be away from them, please" she begged "please"

One of the vampired grabbed her and pinned her in between him and the wall, fangs exposed, reaching to her neck.

My senses took over. I don't know what happened but the next moment I saw the vampire that was pinning her on the ground dead.

The other vamps were advancing so I shoved her behind me against the wall so that I was facing the vampires and was pretty much her sheild.

After lots of her struggling to get out from behind me she finally did, thankfully it was while I only had one more person left to kill. As I ripped their throat out I watched her run down a corrador and push in a brick, then quickly descend some stairs. Must be a hidden room.

After looking for Bellum for an hour I gave up and leaned against a walll,l I fell through the wall and was stuck in a strang room.

Bellum's POV

He fought against those vampires, just so I wouldn't get hurt. That was so nice! Oh stop it, I told myself, He was just protecting you so you don't punish him. Silly boy, I couldn't possibly hurt someone without good reason, not since I almost killed a kid streetfighting, I hadn't fought anyone without good reason since then.

All that maattered was that I would never see my parents again, that thought struck me for good, never. again. I'll never see my parents.I have to rule a country and I'm not old enough. People will rebel against me for getting rid of slavery.

Well maybe if I phase out slavery, slowly, like for the first year people have to give up people under the age of 18, and over the age of 55. That sounds good, and I can put in some slaves right's laws, like no s*xual abuse, or selling/trading slaves, they're aloud to get married, they get weekends off, stuff like that.

Just then the door creaked, open. It was for sure those guys, they wanted me as well as my parents, I curled into the corner in fear before hearing someone say my name

"Bellum"
