Jakes POV

I saw her face fall, and it was killing me inside that I caused her sudden pain.

“Everyone Out” Bellum said shooing Vince and I away with her hands.

I looked at her longingly I didn’t mean it, it just came out.

Besides, it was illegal for slaves and owners to date.

I stepped out of the room with Vince behind me.

“Why’d you say that?” He asked with a confused look on his face

I just sighed and shook my head.

“I have no idea why, I guess my life’ll be harder now wont it?” I said with a grim smile.

He just nodded “Yeah man, I guess”

I leaned against the wall and slid down it so I was sitting, I then proceeded to put my head in my hands, I had no idea what to do, I just messed everything up like always. There was no way that this would magically blow over and get better, no freaking way.

Bellums POV

I slid down the wall and sighed, I felt a tug towards him, and I didn’t think it was love. Even though it probably wasn’t love I don’t think it’s helping me that he pretty much hated me anyways. What were you expecting Bellz? You made him get tortured after he saved you. I heard breathing, and thinking it was Jake, closed my eyes and laid my head on the persons shoulder.

“Sorry about that” Mark said smirking down at me as I jumped away from him

“I don’t know what to do” I said in a desperate voice “I’m just so confused at everything, none of it makes sense, what the crap am I supposed to do in this situation?”

“Why don’t you just come to the demon’s realm with me and see how you like it, you don’t have to stay, I pinky promise” He said his voice actually sounding sincere

“Pinky promises are super legit dude, you sure?” I asked raising my eyebrows

Mark laughed “Gimme your pinky” He said grabbing my hand and interlocking our pinkies “I promise” He said showing his dazzling white teeth “This will just be a tour, you’re beautiful and I’d love it if you really did stay at the realm though”

Suddenly, I got an idea, it was slightly reckless, and not thought through at all. But an idea is an idea. I stood up and tugged on Mark’s hand so he’d do the same then led him outside the door to where Jake was laughing.

“Of course I’ll marry you sweetie” I said laughing “Why would you doubt it for just one second?”

I saw Jakes eyes glimmer with jealousy.

That’s what he gets for hating me
