The dance

We arrived at the school and I helped everybody out. I put my arm around Charlie's shoulder. She steeped out of my reach and walked towards the entrance. Hmmm?
We had to take those stupid pictures. So I put my arms around her.
Then as soon as the picture was snapped she was out of my reach again.
I walked up to her and grabbed her arm. Holding her back from the rest of our group. We were running late so there were only one couple around us.
"What's wrong? Every time I touch you, your gone." I look at her.
She looked around nervously.
"Demon thing going on! I don't know!"
That explains it. One time when she was going through a tough time, demons were in the building. She holed herself up on her room until they left.
"It's okay. I won't let anyone touch you. Ever." I eyed jimmy.
"Thanks." She said quickly.
I put my arm around her waist and walk in. The gym was amazing. But that's not what everyone's attention was on. It was the fight going on in the middle of the gym.
We rush over. With Charlie's demon thing going off we can't be too sure. I tell Charlie to stay here and push through. But it wasn't a demon.
It was Jacob, the most popular guy in school, and he was fighting with Jimmy?
"Jimmy!" I grabbed Jacobs attention and that's when jimmy kicked him in the face. He didn't stop there though. Kicking. Face, stomach.
"Next time keep you grabby hands on YOUR date. Okay?" he said
"He touched Bells?" I asked angrily.
Jimmy looked at me. "Yea. We were just standing there. Then Jacob walks over and grabs Bella's butt."
I walked over and punched Jacob in the face. Then takes jimmy by the collar and pulls him away.
"Lets dance." I say to Charlie. I take her hand and lead her to the dance floor.
A slow song comes on. I stare into the eyes. And she stares back. She smiles and so do I. Then I lean forward and kiss her. She pulls away.
"I can't........" she says before running off. I stand there speechless with my hand frozen where her waist was.
