I heard voices around me, and I had no clue who they belonged to. I tried to sit up but my body couldn't even let me open my eyes, so I relied on my working sense.

"She's perfect, but why is blood everywhere?" The voice was really deep but held a furious tone.

"We had a little accident three days ago, but I assure you she is fine and on her way to mending." A female voice squeaked out.

"Very well that I will give you half of the promised price now and the rest when she is settled with me." The male answered, I then heard a phone dial and a ringing sound. "Yes, send it to Mildred." A pause. "Yes, she is perfect, minus an injury. I am most pleased." He laughed. "Yes. Good have it done within the hour."

"So it's settled?"

"Yes."

I felt the bed sink as someone sat down. A hand brushed at my bangs. It felt like a chill was sent down my spine at the contact. I want to get away from the touch but I couldn't move my body, stupid body. It flinches.

Ha, good body, I praise. The hand stills on my face. "Huh? Well when will I be able to take her home?"

"Very soon sir." The voice replied eagerly.

I felt someone breathing near my ear, warm and soft. "You will love being with me, and you get to live in Greece. From what I learned of you, you always wanted to go visit Greece."

The voice was the man's and at the moment I was none to happy. I had no idea if I was dreaming or not, but what I wanted, needed to know if the ring was from Ian and not a dream. Because I remember always wearing a ring around my neck.

A door opened and footsteps rushed over. "Sir you must not jostle her, even the smallest movement can rip out her stitches. The wound is still very deep." It sounded like the doctor but I wasn't too sure.

"Very well I will take my leave soon." He bent back down to my ear. "I can't wait." I shuttered on the inside.

"I will look at her wound once more and see if there is more that can be done." I heard the steps of feet leave and close the door behind them. "Scarlet?"

I try to speak but a gasp comes out instead.

"Oh thank god. You need to leave and soon. I have arranged for you to get away very soon. I will not stand by and allow that vile woman to do this." He grasped my hand and folded his fingers in mine. "And don't worry I have done the same for Ian, but you both need to leave soon. Can you move?"

He gets his answer after I show no movement for several minutes. "Scarlet I need you to listen very closely to what I am about to say, it's very important." He pauses a moment catching his bearings.

"Scarlet you're a Dhamp..." His words were interrupted by the door opening.

"How is she?" I now recognized the voice of Mildred aka Stepford.

"Still healing, she suffered from a punctured intestine and a laceration to her stomach. Some of the acid had leaked and burned through some of the other organs-"

"I don't care about that! When will I be able to send her away!?"

"Not for a few days at least. Moving her now will most likely kill her."

"Fine but you have two days to make her stable enough to move or else it's your job." She spat the threat.

I started to feel a bit clammy for some reason. I felt a hand on my head and a cures. "She has a fever."

"Well fix it and now!"

I heard her storm off. Good riddens I say. "Scarlet can you understand me?" His voice sounded a bit worried, but why?
