Chapter 19

[ Third POV ]

After the fight with their first enemy, Centerfold. Hiro and Zero Two reporter it to the school since there were no police stations nearby. The closer was 10 miles away.

"So why did this man attack you both?" The staff asks, both Hiro and Zero Two were staring at each other with different reasons.

'Someone wanted Zero Two' Hiro thought.

'I was about to be assassinated' Zero Two thought.

"Centerfold told me while Zero a Two was unconscious that something or someone, wanted Zero Two. Alive." Hiro confesses. Zero Two becomes more scared, they wanted her alive. God knows what they would have done to her while she was alive, she rather be dead then experience it.

"Centerfold is his name correct?" The staff asks, grabbing a piece of paper and pen.

"Yes." Hiro answers, the staff continues writing the name down. "His Stranxx name?" He adds in.

"The Mummy, it is a close range Stranxx with strings similar to Rock Free, another close range Stranxx that uses strings except it's more powerful but the strings are weaker." Hiro lays out everything and every information about Centerfold and his motives.

"Very well, we will investigate on why they want Zero Two. You 2 are free to go." The staff dismisses them and reports the information to the office. Hiro and Zero Two walk through the hallways, not speaking a word to each other. They wanted to say something but after witnessing their first fight with another Stranxx user, they didn't ever wanna experience that again.

"Ney." Zero Two speaks up, Hiro gains her attention and turns his head towards her.

"Yes?" He responds, a simple yes that made her swelled up thoughts overflow throughout her mouth.

"What did you think if you lost or even... died. What could Centerfold had done to me?" She starts breaking down. Hiro notices this exact behavior, this was a behavior of someone witnessing reality for the first time. Zero Two only fought Klaxosaurs and that's all, Klaxosaurs weren't human. Centerfold was a human, and yet Hiro didn't care.

"It doesn't matter, I managed to save you. I risked my life for someone I just met 3 days ago. And I don't regret that." He tries to find a different way to settle this, but it doesn't work.

"B-But if you had lost, I heard right before I woke up that he was gonna do things to me. Just what did he plan to do to me if he won?" Tears started forming on her eyes, dropping each second. This made Hiro sadden deeper, he couldn't say anything, she was right all along.

"If Centerfold had won, he would've rape me..." She gets onto her knees and starts crying after so long. Hiro just lets her cry, she needs to cry all she's got. Because he feels like more would be coming for her and they would have to prepare for it. Fighting, killing humans. The true reality of people who go into these schools to save other people.

He bends to Zero Two's height and takes her hands off her red puffed face. Her tears overflowing, her body shaking at her unspeakable imagination of being touched by a pervert. "It all doesn't matter Zero Two. Why? Because I am here." Hiro stops the crying.

He continues, "If Zero Two were to be kidnapped, I Hiro, will risk my life to rescue you. Dead or alive, all I want is to see your face again. For one last time." The window right next to them shines, Zero Two's eyes open wide. A smile from Hiro filled with determination stops the crying. She wipes away her tears, stands up as well as Hiro does.

"Thank you Hiro. For everything. Even though we just met, I felt like I have known you longer than I have known Alpha." She grins at him.

"N-No problem."

Wow I put all my efforts into that, worth it.

"No problem? I think you deserve more than that." Zero Two comes closer and closer. Hiro backs down until his back hits the wall.

"W-What do you mean?" Hiro starts shaking like Zero Two did just earlier. She smirks, her face getting closer and closer than protons and neutrons.

"A kiss." She kisses him.

'Mom, I'm finally a man.' Hiro thinks to himself.

After 10 seconds of still bodies, Zero Two finally backs down. 2 of them were blushing, 2 of them were staring at each other.

*FLASH*

A burst of light shines in front of them, both of them see Zorome and Futoshi with a camera. A picture slowly comes out of it, dropping onto the floor. Hiro uses Star Platinum's enhanced eyesight to check out what they just took. What he saw shook him for the rest of his life.

"Looks like we are about to get famous!" Zorome picks up the picture smirking, then both of the pranksters run away.

"Get back here!" Hiro and Zero Two chases after them. Futoshi and Zorome were already panting after a few minutes later. Zero a Two and Hiro were holding it up for a while.

"Quick Futoshi! Our strategy from yesterday morning!" Zorome reminds Futoshi about their peaking incident. With that, Futoshi nods and goes to a different pathway. Zorome flys grabbing Areosmith and Futoshi goes through walls with Sticky Finger's zipping ability.

"New Strategy Hiro! I go for fatso and you go for twig man!" They both nod at each other and part ways like they did. This time Futoshi actually unzips his zippers this time making it more harder for Zero Two. "A great plan but futile!" She breaks the wall and goes into a different room. She uses Crazy Crystal's healing ability and heals up the wall instantly. She starts repeating the same thing over, going more faster as Futoshi's stamina starts to fade.

Hiro in the other hand struggles to catch up with Areosmith's speed. "Think Hiro! What should I use to make him come back here." Miku.

"Oh hey Miku! Wanna come to a restaurant tonight?" Hiro's voice starts to sound like a generic schoolboy. Zorome hears this and falls for it, he turns back with Areosmith and starts shooting in the hallways.

"Who dares ask my Miku out! I'll make holes in you that even the nurse won't be able to treat!"

Too easy. Hiro hides behind the curtains and as soon as Zorome passes, Hiro uses Star Platinum's legs and kicks Zorome out of Areosmith, making it fade away.

"Ow! You tricked me!" He looks up to Hiro that has the picture.

"I got him too." Zero Two throws a knockout Futoshi next to Zorome. They both stare at him menacingly.

"Please don't rip that picture! I'll get famous! And when I do! I'll give you both 25% of the profits! And the ladies if you want them Hiro." He starts pleading to him, almost licking Hiro's shoes.

And with that Hiro rips it to shreds and all the time wasted are on the floor, in front of Zorome.

"NOOO!" Zorome runs away. "I won't forget this!"

"Welp. Gotta carry him to his dorm. Wanna come?" Hiro, since he can't physically lift up Futoshi, uses Star Platinum.

"Nah, I'm gonna go meet Alpha, he is already done with his meeting by now." Zero Two decides to go through a different pathway.

"Okay, bye Zero Two." They both wave at each other as she stares Hiro fading away. She sees the picture that was ripped into shreds on the floor. She bends over to it and grabs one of the little pieces, using Crazy Crystal's healing ability. The picture forms back into 2 humans kissing each other. That was Hiro and Zero Two kissing.

"I'll keep this in my memory." She puts it in her pocket, smiling at the window.
