{ probably the deepest poem i wrote in 2019, i am writing this at 2:46 am }

you set fire to the world,
but never let a flame touch the girl
i counted miles,
i counted days
just to find out
who's the one really wanting to stay

he set fire to the world
but never let a flame touch the girl
he fought both of the bad guys for all I know,
and he was on his knees,
always had knelt when i told him to do so

you set fire to the world
but never let a flame touch the girl
slowly conquered the eagle and the cat,
gladiated, and i proudly looked whilst he used the gat

i should come home before the sun sets,
i should stay in one place, and i will give you rest
i should come home prior to the end of the day
before comes the tragedy of Pompeii

he set fire to the world
but never let a flame touch the girl
i counted miles and watched the time,
and forever he was mine.

xoxo,
Adiiid
