It was finally that time of year again. When families and friends all gather together all in one place. Either around a burning fireplace or simply just having a dinner. But this was supposed to be a warm and welcoming holiday, just for the exception of the Malfoy family.

I was tiered of being scared, I mean they need me, or at Least Lord Voldemort needed me. So I finally had the last straw of pretending to walk one egg shells and let my childish attitude shine.

Of course the Malfoy were not that happy about that but... who cares. he holiday season was vastly approaching and I had whipped up decorations of all kinds. A grand tree for the living room, mistletoes hung in random places, and wreaths on every third door I found.

I had hung garland all over the place, I had ordered the house elf to get me some from Diagon Alley. You should have seen his face of displeasure, it was the up most funny expression I had ever seen on an elf.

Being tasked to retrieve the Malfoy boy from his fifth year Christmas break at Hogwarts I dressed in my newly pleated clothes and took off five minutes before the train would come to Kings Cross Station. when I appeared there eagles of families all stood proud with either siblings or other acquaintances striking up a storm of conversations.

And here I was, waiting at the fattest corner of the platform, with no one to talk to.Everyone was older, much too old to have a normal teen conversation with. With a heavy sigh I listened to the melodic sounds of the train. It was nearing thank goodness.

The first off the great red train all were giddy with happiness, radiating their pearly white smiles to everyone that would see.

First to come off were probably the first years, then following would be the second years, happy but no to happiness, then third, then fourth, and finally the fifth years would slinked their way off the train.

Draco was among the few that dressed like a salesman. His blindly white hair slicked back with a gracious amount of gel, his suit looked wrinkle free (probably had a simple spell to make it like that... he is surely to lazy to actually press clothing) and his stiff back radiated superiority.

"Draco over here!" I smiled to myself when I saw the Malfoy boy glance in my general direction only to blush and look at the cobblestone flooring as he trudged along with his heavily packed trunk.

"Your such a slow poke you know!" Laughing a little I waved my wand to have the trunk hover mid air and follow me out to the busy muggle train station.

"What are you doing? We are supposed to apparat inside the platform where muggles won't see us!" He clearly looked scared as I lead him outside. "At least stop hovering the trunk." With a compliance I dropped the baggage only for it to land on his foot.

"There I dropped it happy now? Its not like these commoners would actually look closely enough to see what we are doing. They are too busy doing whatever non magical people do."

With a lazy swish of my hand I motioned the flustered boy to follow me.

But he did not seems confident. His shoulders slouched and his gaze of everything held suspicion and fear as if something was going to jump out of the shadows and attack him at any moment.

"Relax Draco we are going to have some fun before returning you to that dreadful manor. Hmmm... how about going to that cafe over there?"

Grabbing his arm I lead him though the crowds, it was called Miss Sheries' cafe. It had an ornate Christmas window display and many colorful signs showing the species for the day.

-Peppermint coco.

-Chocolate dipped holiday cookies.

-Iced mocha peppermint latte.

And many more that I could not read as I hurried my steps and basically shoved Malfoy into the store.

"Get a table and I will be over there shortly."

Stalking away he headed towards a table in the far back, lugging his trunk behind him.

There was no line for the front lady who seemed to be reading some celebrity magazine, this place was not as busy as I thought, which would be a good thing I guess.

"Hello, I would like two peppermint hot cocoas and a plate of your house made Christmas cookies."

When the young blond looked up I was surprised to see an eyebrow piercing along with a septum piercing.

"Ten dollars." She voiced, her lips covered in a plum color making her pale skin almost ghoulish in appearance.

Fishing out some muggle money I kept in my apron I paid and went to the moping boy who hide in the far corner of the restaurant.

"That girl is interesting." He voiced looking at the barista slowly stirring the two cocoas simultaneously.

"She your type Draco?" I asked teasingly, " Perhaps I could tell your father and see how he approv-"

"NO! Don't you dare!"

His angry and reddened checks made you burst out laughing. "Calm down, it was just a joke you nitwit."

He folded his hands in his lap before glance at the table. taring at it as if it would combust into flames. It was only a couple of minutes before the girl came back with a miniature white plate holding three hold shaped cookies as well as two steaming mugs topped with a dollop of whipped cream and shavings of candy cane.

"Enjoy." And with that she walked away.

Holding in a laugh I I pick up a cookie and take a large bite out of it. "Oh my gosh..." It was a perfect texture with the frosting onto not being to crumbly nor sticky. "Draco you need to try this," humming in satisfaction I lean back in the dark brown booth.

"Im good."

Snapping up right I stare him dead in the eyes. "Take the damn cookie Malfoy, no more tough guy routine."

His eyes narrowed, "Oh really and what makes you think I would listen to anything you say?"

Feeling my cheeks blush under his harsh stare I look over to the display window. "I don't know I just thought-"

Hearing a satisfying crunch I look over to see the teen holding a Christmas Bell shaped cooking in-between his slender fingers. "Hm."

Tasing an eye brow he peered at you just for a second before taking another bite. "Not that bad, maybe I should trust you more often."

Smiling lightly you look down at your mug of cocoa, "Try the hot chocolate, I am sure it is pretty good."

The atmosphere was so giddy that I couldn't contain my smile as I saw him take a sip from his mug only to revile a whip cream mustache. "You got something," pointing to my upper lip I tried to show him where he should be using a napkin to wipe it off, only for him to furrow his eye brows and pout.

"What are you trying to get at? I have nothing on my lip..." Touching his lips gingerly his eyes widened and quickly reached out to the napkin dispenser that rested on the table top.

After cleaning his little mistake he looked into my eyes, I never noticed how his they displayed the cold, winter season. Light grey with flecks of a darker grey amongst them, it was such a beautiful sight to behold.

It was a day to remember.

A moment neither of us would forget was sure of it.

It was nice to forget the tragedies that had happened only months before this.

Finally I have something to be happy about.
