She ran into Stefan's open arms, gasping as he hugged her tightly, cradling her and smoothing her hair.
"Love, love," he whispered, letting her go as tears brimmed the surface of her eyes, Stefan's heart crumbling almost immediately at the sight of her.
"What's wrong?" He asked, caressing her cheek as she shakily breathed in.
"I-I don't know! I feel so...overwhelmed with everything. Mum wants me to go back to Italy to train as a witch, but a few weeks ago I wasn't even aware such creatures exist! She wants me to leave everything behind, and that means-"
"That you'll have to leave me." Stefan said flatly, his own words slightly paining his heart.
"But I don't want to." She shook her head, the tears falling out of her eyes as she did so, and Stefan bit his lip. It was already happening. They had only known each other for such a short time and she was already moving on. And he would have to stay put.
"Luna...wherever you go, I'll go. I promise you, I'll never leave you." He swore, pushing the hair out of her face.
"Because I love you. And you're a light in my life that I haven't seen for years. And because every time I see your face, I believe in goodness. In hope. In redemption." He blurred out as a tear rolled down her face.
"Stefan I-"
"Shh. You're shaking baby. It's okay. I'll help you."
He turned her around, and she noticed that he had met her in a forest, metres of land stretching out in front of her, the sound of rustling blocking out the sound of cars.
"Focus my dear. Just focus on the energy radiating out of you. Then let it go."
"But...how?"
"You'll know. It's in your nature."
His hands snaked around her waist as he rested his chin on her shoulder, hugging her from the behind as she thought.
"I-I dont know Stef."
"I know you know my love. Don't be scared. You won't hurt me. You won't hurt anything. You just need to give Mother Nature her magic back, the magic she gave to you.
Luna stared out into the greenery, her eyes focusing on the trees before her, her breathing becoming more heavy as Stefan whispered in her ears.
"Do it. I love you. Let it all out. The right way."
He stepped away from her as she felt it all build up quickly, the energy becoming unbearable for her body, and suddenly, she started screaming.
Her mouth opened and the high pitched screeches slipped out of her mouth as her hands burst out a blue, transparent light that shot through the air.
Her magic manipulated the air, causing the view to bend slightly, as if she had somehow managed to ripple the air with her screams, and the blue light ran through the forest, absorbed by the ground and leaves as she continued to yell.
The wind had suddenly become harsh and pulled her hair as she sent waves of energy, still screaming, but a bit more quieter now.
Her screeches we're finally reduced to gasping as she collapsed to the ground, Stefan rushing to her side, holding her tightly as she gulped.
"Hey, you're okay, you're good," he whispered, pulling her onto his lap as she buried her face in his chest, rubbing her cheek against his warm jumper.
She looked up as he smiled, his green eyes soft and comforting, his pink lips perfectly carved into a smile that blessed her.
"How are you?"
"M-much better." She exhaled as he chuckled, sitting down properly so she could sit on him.
He rested his chin on her head as she stared into the distance, the sun rising as the morning progressed, her breathing becoming more steady.
"I love you." She suddenly blurted out as Stefan lifted his head. She looked up and put a hand to his face, kissing his cheek softly as he blinked.
"And I never want to leave you."
She turned around to straddle Stefan so that they could look each other in the eyes, and he pressed his lips against hers to give her a soft kiss, but pulled away.
"What is it about you that lures me in?" He whispered, caressing her cheek with his thumb as she slightly blushed.
She shrugged her shoulders as he laughed, pushing the hair away from her face so he could see her clearly.
"You are so beautiful." He said in a low voice as she looked down, unable to look him in the eyes as he sighed.
"If only you could see what I see," he carried on, kissing her forehead as she shook her head.
"I do. Stefan, I do. You're...unreal. Perfect. You possess beauty that's inhumane." She whispered back as he softly smiled.
"I am inhumane."
"But in the best way possible. And you don't scare me. You never will."
She wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned in to kiss him as he held her waist, kissing her back.
Their lips moved in sync as he began to lower his kisses down her neck, sloppy and wet, but sweet and meaningful.
She moaned as he sucked on her skin lightly, his tongue drawing shapes on her as she threw her head back in ecstasy, holding onto him as his other hand trailed under her skirt.
"Are we really doing this here?" She breathed heavily as he smirked.
"Of course we are."
