After their second meeting, he had been determined to keep their newborn relationship alive. Given his schedule and the 5/6 hour time difference, phone calls were difficult to manage. Whatsapp saved the day, allowing him to initiate conversation at his convenience and vice versa.

Kwabena: Bride to be, how be?
Joyce: So you forgot my name, abi
Kwabena: Shiii, she speaks pidgin
Joyce: Can't really speak it, but can definitely write it
Joyce: My father claims it is a profane language
Kwabena: Kai. It is a very eloquent form of self expression. How else can you combine English, French, Twi, Ga and basically any language you can speak into a single coherent language?
Kwabena: My father was shocked the first time he heard me speak pidgin. You would think I had started smoking wee instead of speaking like every other secondary school boy.
Joyce: Haha, did he disown you?
Kwabena: He would have, but mom won't let him
Joyce: Mama ba
Kwabena: Haha, not really. Mom is tough on everyone, including dad
Joyce: Oh really?
Kwabena: Yeah, but he just ignores her when she goes off on him. I don't have that luxury
Kwabena: So whats up with you and your mom?
Joyce: You won't forget, eh?
Kwabena: Naah
Joyce: Remind to tell you next time. I am going to bed
Kwabena: You mean you are going to call the groom
Joyce: Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Kwabena: Haha, good night

Joyce: Hanging out with a friend right now. Figuring out what to do tonite.
Kwabena: Read your bibles and fellowship with God
Joyce: Not a bad idea, though I didn't peg you for the chrife type
Kwabena: And you would be right. You on the other hand ...
Joyce: So, whats up with that? You don't go to church?
Kwabena: That conversation will take years to complete
Kwabena: Right now, I want to know what was/is going on between you are your mom
