A blonde haired girl stood in the middle of the street. She moved her head up, slowly opening her eyes. She breathed out slowly, her heartbeat as steady as can be.

She had been through this far too many times after all.

People were panicking. Some were trying to flee from the scene, even though they knew it was all going to be in vain. Some were standing still, unable to move from fear. Most had ugly tears flowing down their cheeks.

The news didn't tell them about this. The government should be informing them about something as devastating as this, right? Shouldn't there be a huge evacuation process ongoing right now?

Do they even know that this is going to happen?

They woke up early in the morning, expecting the day to go as usual. Not this.

Silence filled the air. The sounds of vehicles came to a stop after people screamed their lungs out the moment they saw the sky.

The sky.

Was filled with slowly expanding rocks.

Thousands- no- millions of them came crashing towards them at the speed of miles per hour. Slowly increasing as seconds pass by.

What they didn't know was that the cause of this calamity, their soon to be end, were standing amongst them.

The said cause stared at the approaching meteors, face devoid of any emotion.

She was tired.

Tired of all of this.

She just wanted to rest, sleep peacefully.

She was tired of people hating her. Tired of bottling up the slowly growing emotions inside her. Tired of the stain on her conscience that keeps on growing. Then again, it's already black enough to rival the universe's blackest black.

She wanted it all to stop. But she can't. She can't control the darkness that followed her through the lifetimes she had. After a while, she learned that it's best to forget the lives she took just by existing. That doesn't mean that it stops the nightmares she had every night though.

This lifetime is one of the worst though, the bullies here were more... aggressive. If that is even the correct word to use. They pushed her near death's door more than once, barely surviving at the end of the day. Luckily magic doesn't exist here, otherwise this lifetime will jump high in her 'List of Real Life Nightmares'. Guess she has to thank the specks of luck that was left for her.

'People can't see the dark aura that seeps out of my skin everyday. It's not like I can see them either, so who am I to judge?' she met some divine beings before, like angels or even gods. They all questioned her about the mist that surrounds her. Either that, or they immediately attack her out of instinct from years of training. When they asked she'd always reply by telling them about her curse.

'From this distance...' she continues staring that the massive rain of meteors, 'It should happen in a few minutes or so...'

She let out a sigh, it almost sounded like a sigh of relief. She can finally leave this hellhole of a life.

"Hey."

A hand pressed itself on her right shoulder, she turned her head, her eyebags complimenting the tired expression she had.

"You okay?" The man asked in a worried tone.

She let out a slightly amused snort, "I'm sure no one is okay when thousands of meteors are coming, crashing down on earth out of nowhere."

The brown haired man let out a chuckle, "Yeah, I guess you're right."
