Hey guys! This is my first story on this account, I started some other stories about a year ago and they were pretty bad, so I decided to start fresh. Also, sorry for any spelling or grammar mistakes!

Chapter 1
I was lying on my bed reading summer reading book for school. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, a very decent book once you got into it. I was now infatuated with Elizabeth's and Mr. Darcy's relationship.
I had four weeks until I had to go back to school, which was okay with me because that meant I could see my boyfriend more. His name is Ben Harkness, he had blonde hair with ocean blue eyes that I could look at forever. Wow I am so disgusting.
Ben was the captain of the football team, and the popular guy at school, which made me wonder why he was going out with someone like me. I was so plain. My name is McKenzie Samuels, I have long brown hair, and brown eyes. I was pretty tall and slender, but I wasn't a stick either. I run cross country which keeps me in shape, but the season just ended so I will need to keep running at home to stay in shape.
Ben has had way prettier girlfriends than me. I do not know why he likes me, but we have been going out for 4 months so I guess it really does not matter. I was so happy when he first told me he loved me, I told him I loved him also.
As I am thinking, I am interrupted by a 'ding-dong'. That must be Elle coming to get ready for the party. I step out of my room and start walking down stairs. Elle and I have known each other since before age 1. We went to daycare together when we were little babies, and have been friends ever since.
I open the door, and their stands Elle. Her short straight blonde hair blowing in the breeze. She has one of those cuts like Victoria Beckham, where it is short in the back and a little longer in the front.
"Hey, are you ready for the party?" she says as she walks in carrying an overnight bag.
"Yes, I am so ready!" I say as we walk back to my room. My parents are both at work, and my little sister is at her friend's house.
We walk back up stairs. "I have to take a shower." I start grabbing my stuff to take a shower.
"okay, but hurry up!" she said looking at her watch. "It is 5:45 and Justin said we could get there anytime before it starts."
Justin was Ben's brother. They were twins, although they do not look much alike. Ben is taller where Justin is on the 'vertically challenged' side. Elle did not like referring to him as short. Ben had blond hair whereas Justin had brown.
"Okay, I will do not fret!" I said laughing at her.
I stepped in the shower and turned on the hot water. As the water got hot, my muscles started relaxing. Truthfully, I was really nervous for tonight. Ben and I had talked about doing the big 'IT' tonight after the party. I was not very sure at first, but Ben said when two people love each other, it is okay. Ben would never pressure me or anything, but I could tell he was anxious.
After I had showered, I got dressed. I was wearing a black one shoulder dress that fit my curves, and came about mid thigh, ankle boots, a black thong, and a black lacy bra. I was so nervous for tonight. I wore my hair down with thick curls, mascara, and some lipstick.
I stepped out of the bathroom, and Elle was wearing a dark purple strapless dress, with hot pink stilettos.
"You look good." she said as she zipped up her makeup bag.
"So do you girl. Justin will definitely like that outfit!" I said as I grabbed my purse. I looked at the clock. It was 6:35.
"So Justin said we could get there early?" I asked looking at her.
"Yeah, have you not talked to Ben any?" She looked concerned.
"Not since yesterday morning, because he got his phone taken away." I said.
"Oh, okay. Are you ready to go?" she asked picking up her purse.
"Yeah, ready as I will ever be." I said looking at my hair one more time.
We got into Elle's purple Mazda. It was an awesome car. We put in our favorite CD, A Thousand Suns, by Linkin Park. They were one of our favorite bands. We sang along with the lyrics to Waiting for the End.
"I know what it takes to move on. I know how it feels to lie. All I want to do is trade this life for something new, holding on to what I haven't got."
We pulled up to Ben's and Justin's house ten minutes later.
"Justin is at the store getting some party stuff, but he said it was unlocked."
"Okay. Let's go up to Ben's room." I say as we get out of the car. We walk in the front door, and walk upstairs. As we get closer to Ben's room I can hear a girl moaning Ben's name.
Elle and I exchange a look, and I quickly burst through his door. There laying on Ben's bed was Ben and Whitney, the school s*ut. They are both laying under the covers and I see both of their clothes on the ground.
Ben quickly jumps up with the cover around him.
"McKenzie, this is not what it looks like!" he said defensively looking at me.
I can not even process what is going on right now. I am stunned. Speechless. Elle quickly grabs my hand and leads me out of the door. I can feel the tears coming up. Save them for in the car. Not right now.
"Kenz wait!" He said running down the stairs with a pair of shorts on.
I'm so angry inside. I just let it all out.
"I can not believe you! You are such a cheating little scumbag! You know what you are a waste of my time, and the biggest mistake I have ever made!" I yelled as the tears came pouring out of my eyes.
"Come on Kenzie let's go." Elle said pulling me out to the car. We walked to her car and I opened my door, and set my purse inside on the floorboard. Maybe if I just stare at my purse, I won't cry.
"Stay here, I will be right back." She said as she stalked back into the house. I buckled my seatbelt and cried in my hands. How could he do this to me. I thought he loved me, and he wasn't even drunk! I cried in Elle's car until I saw her walk back out to the car. She looked like she had been yelling.
I looked at her as she sat in the car, and cranked it up. "What did you do?" I asked her.
"Oh, that doesn't matter right now. Lets just go back to your house and watch some movies."
"Okay that sounds pretty good. Can we stop by and get some chocolate ice cream?" I asked holding in my tears.
"Yeah, that sounds good." She said smiling at me. The tears escaped my eyes, and I looked out the window. This was going to be a crappy way to end summer.
