You have just spent all of this morning  lying in bed staring at the ceiling. You were having one of those days. You know, the ones where you just don't feel like doing anything.
It wasn't that you was bunking off today. Naw, you're not that kind of girl. As much of a drag school is, mum always said it was important. Even if it didn't do her much good.

Mum's the reason you're lying here staring at the ceiling, feeling empty. Mum's the reason you've been off school for the last two weeks.

You get up, you can't stand lingering in my bed any longer. Mum wouldn't  have wanted to see you this way. She would have wanted to see you out and about, enjoying your life.

The clock by your bed says it's noon. You peer out the tiny window in your room and look outside. It's a long way down from your floor. No wonder they made the windows so small.

You leave your bedroom, and walk into the living room. At one end is the couch and our TV, that looks about ninety years old. At the other end of the room is the kitchen, with a hob, washing machine, fridge and some cupboards. It ain't exactly luxury, your flat.
You walk into your bathroom, deciding to have a shower.
You undress, careful to not move the bandages, and turn the shower on. Clean, pure, water comes flowing from the cheap plastic nozzle. There is no shower gel, typical. You use shampoo instead. Someone told you they're 99% the same stuff anyway.

You finish washing, and turn the hot water off. You grab a towel from the rack, tying it around yourself, and walk, dripping, to your room.

You put on fresh clothes. A pair of joggers, a t-shirt, a hoodie and underwear. You don't bother about socks unless you're actually going out the house.

You walk back to the kitchen, to get some breakfast. You pour yourself a bowl of cereal and splash in some milk. You should take your pills, but they barely do anything. You're not sure if your bro is home or not. He could be at work, but then he could also be lying in bed with a thumping headache.

You don't really know what to do. That's the problem you've been having lately, there's not really any way to fill your day. You guess it won't continue for much longer, you're going back to school on Monday.

You grab your laptop, it's one of the only things in this shitty flat that's worth anything. You had to save up for ages to get it, but it was worth it.
You boot it up, and it asks you what operating system you want to choose. You've had so much free time that you created your own operating system. You decide not to choose it though, it's to much hassle.
You load up Linux as it it's easier to use.

The great thing about Linux is how quickly it loads up on your computer. You log on and load up your browser. You first check this great blog by this American guy called turntechGodhead, the comics kinda lame if your honest, but it does make you laugh. That's a rare thing. Nothing seems to make you laugh any more.

You then check your pesterchum, looks like Evie has been pestering you.

SP-would that help?
SC- Yes it would, thank you
