Third person P.O.V
One day while Lance was visiting earth, he was walking threw his hometown, humming and noticed a small boy, on the ground begging for food. He froze in his track and watched the boy curiously for a moment. The boy had raggity clothes on and his hair was a mess. The young lad seemed to be whimpering on the side of the road. Lance couldn't take it anymore he grit his teeth just at the thought of a poor, young, boy just laying on the ground. No one seemed to even cared that the boy was there. Lance huffed and approached the boy, once he was in front of the shivering weakling he knelt down. "Child, are you ok," is all Lance asked and the frightened boy leaped up hugging him to tight lance couldn't breathe. Lance smiled and hugged the child back sweetly. He could hear the boy weeping and he pulled away from the hug wiping the child tears, "What is your name?" The boy sniffled and looked at the ground between Lance and him. "I-I don't have one," the boy replied and started crying again. Lance froze again and felt his heart start to ache, he knew that feel all to well. Lance huffed a breath of confidence and stood up offering the child a hand. "May I treat you to lunch?" Lance smiled wide and the young lad blushed from the kindness of this stranger. The boy smiled back and stood shakingly. Lance helped him and heard the boy mumble, "c-can I have some buttercups?"(🍮) Lance's eyes widened and he laughed picking the child up in his arms. "Of course you can. Let's stop by a candy store on the way to the restaurant. Oh and my name is Lance, Lance McClain."The two of them walked to the nearest candy store and Lance bought them each some candy. After that they went and ate at Lance's favorite cafe. Lance asked the boy millions of questions about his past, how he had gotten to beat up, and why he had no name. By the end of the day the two boys where setting on a bench watching the sky and Lance asked the young boy he now calls Buttercup a question. "Buttercup, I've never had as much fun with anyone on my team as I had with you today. And I enjoy every moment of us bonding." Lance looked down nervously and then looked at the child, "I want adopt you Buttercup." The boys face lit of and he jumped into Lance's arms once again. The boy started crying but tears of joy and nodded, "yes. Yes!" Buttercup squeal with joy and Lance took them both to his house. Buttercup got to meet Lance's family and had the promise of the next morning being able to go straight to the lawyers.
