Eddie's death shook up the population of the school. A lot of people had to visit grief counselling and it all seemed to make everyone sad, But as things do people got over it. School went on, as usual, the only difference was that his name was added to the memorial of students who have passed while attending Sentinel High school, It was called the Spartan garden a lovely and well-kept area of the grounds where our next scene takes place.
Maxx, Jonas (Maxx's Boyfreind), Nikko and Wynter sat around in a group Nikko and Wynter sitting on the bench and Maxx and Jonas snuggling up to each other sitting on the ground. They talked about fairly mundane things like homework and drama they heard going around school. Typical highschool things.
Dan walked up to the group smiling brightly "Hey!" He exclaimed greeting the group of friends, he sat down on the bench next to Wynter. "Howdy partner." Jonas said in a mock southern accent. "Hi! Wanna hang with us?" Wynter said looking at the boy next to her. She thought he looked really cute in his Wham! Tee shirt and black jeans. But he always looked really cute. "Sure if you guys don't mind I'd love too!" He smiled sweetly.
"Oh also don't mind those two, and their gross love and affection, cuddling and kissing in public you should be ashamed!" Wynter said in the most Karen voice she could muster, shaking her head at the couple. Dan laughed slightly "Oh really? How about we get revenge?" Dan wrapped his arms around her pulling her into a tight embrace.
Her face went a scarlet red this was crazy. Dan a cute emo boy interested in Wynter an ordinary girl? All she could do was laugh and pull away shyly. The group laughed as well. "Oooohhhh Dan has the hots for Wynterrrrr" Maxx said making a heart with his hands around the two.
"Shut up. At least Dan doesn't look like a shrek character." Wynter retorted.
The bell was about to ring so the group packed up heading toward the building. Jonas spoke to Maxx "do you want me to take you to your class love?"
Dan whenever he saw people in a relationship he felt envious and jealous of the love the two share. He wanted nothing more than to have that with Wynter he was going to have it.
Dan looked at Wynter "do you want me to walk you to your next Class? It's right next to mine." He lied his class was on the opposite side of the school but it was fine hed do anything for her. "Sure!" She said still a bit flustered about what happened at the garden. She was starting to catch feelings for the tall dark and handsome young man.
They began walking to her science class, Maxx and Jonas parting ways with the pair they continued on thier way making small talk. Until it happened the inevitable it happened every day. A group of older boys walked pass one of them pointing at Dan and saying more yelling at him "Murderer!" There was a rumor going around that Dan pushed Eddie which may have been true but did anyone else know, no.
Wynter rubbed his back sweetly trying to sooth his anger. "It must be hard being blamed for your best freinds murder... im so sorry." she said empatheticaly he smiled back at her. "It's okay. As long as I know I didn't do anything I'm okay." "Here's my Class! Thank you for walking me!" She beamed and what she did next made his whole world shift.
She leaned over, kissed his cheek smiling and turned around heading into her class room
Dan felt his heart leap into his throat he felt it pounding. This was unbelievable maybe she felt romanticly about him as well. Thoughts swarmed his head and he was snapped out of his thoughts by the one minute bell ringing he had one minute to walk all the way across the school. He walked as fast as he could all he could think about what that cheek kiss. It was definite she was going to be his he was willing to fight for it. He somehow made it to his class seconds before the late bell rang.
The next 3 periods flew by fast. The only thing on his mind was Wynter. It seemed like only seconds and he was on the bus heading home. He got a text and opened his phone, it was Wynter. She said "do you want to come with me Maxx and Jonas to the mall Tommorow?" He didn't reply straight away to not seem desperate but it was a definite yes. He texted back a simple 'sure' they discussed times and a meeting spot one decided on 2 at J.C pennies on Saturday.
Dan was beyond exited! This was his chance to make Wynter swoon ove4 him and maybe start moving towards his goal of dating her by the end of the school year.
He went home and quickly did hid expected chores like the dishes and dinner. He had the rest of the night to himself, He look a shower being careful to wash everywhere he couldn't run the risk of not looking and smelling great tommorow. He changed into sweat pants and a tee shirt for pajamas. He laid in bed opening his laptop and he messaged a girl by the name of Brynn.
Brynn was one of Wynters Ex's and Dan had decided to try to get close to her to find out about Wynters romantic interests but of course that wasn't Dan's only intention befriending Brynn. He was going to entirely even the playing field he wasn't going to let anything stand in his way of being with Wynter he was going to have her no matter what he was in love and in love he was going to stay until his urges could be met.
But for now he was just going to look forward to tommorow knowing Maxx and Jonas they were going to ditch them to go make out in the bathroom or something do hed have the whole day with Wynter.
