Joyful screams filled that beautiful spring day. Running around in the field of flowers. Our bare feet in the green grass. The birds had quite a song that day. We were both outside having fun.

Yoongi and I

We were just innocent kids. Without a care in the world. Not worrying about what'll happen tomorrow or the day after that one. None of it mattered to us. We were living in the moment. Our free souls guided by the gentle breeze. The soft thumps as we ran along in the dirt. All of it a blissful daydream now.

Finally after running for a while we stopped.

We had come to what we called the end. Our secret section of the field. It was a wall of bush that we had to climb over. It led us to our favorite spot. A big tree. Under that tree was more flowers. So many it had created somewhat of a bed. Yoongi and I would go there to relax.

We'd talk about whatever came to our minds. The new episode of (favorite kid show), a new toy, flowers, piano, life. Normal seven year old conversation.

"Yoongi-ah" I said suddenly "Yes?" he questioned. "Aren't these flowers pretty-" not finishing my sentence. "(N/N)? What's wrong.." he asked looking up. Once he had seen me he realized there was a butterfly on my nose. "Look it's on my face!" I said giggling. Yoongi smiled and giggled with me. Just then more started landing on my head. "There's more", then I screamed, "They're in my eyes!!". I stood up and ran around "My eyes my eyes!!".

These seemingly innocent butterflies had wreaked havoc. Still traumatizing to this day.

"(N/N), come back!!" Yoongi screamed frantically. Seeing as still screaming and running around Yoongi decided to chase me. As soon as he had caught up he tackled me. Falling on top of me. We looked at one another for a moment. Then I started laughing. Yoongi flushed and had gotten off me. "Why would you run like that (N/N).." he asked flustered. "They," I paused breathing in, "Were really big when they were in my eyeballs".

Just like that we had begun laughing.

Once it was close to sunset we started heading back. Hand in hand and chatting quietly. At the time I hadn't even noticed the fact that Yoongi was watching my every step. All I could think about was (favorite kids show). Yoongi for the most part replied to my conversation.

After walking for some time we realized it was time to part ways. I had a fuzzy feeling in my stomach. At the time I guessed I sensed the future news I'd receive. So this time instead of our signature handshake, I hugged him tightly. Yoongi was shocked but hugged back just as quick.

"What was that for.." he asked confused "I.. just felt like it" I replied. "Oh.. okay!" he said smiling. I smiled back glad to be his friend. "Well I'll see you later Yoongi-ah!" "Goodbye (N/N)!".

I walked back to my house. My stomach turning. I hated this feeling. I entered through the front door and slipped off my shoes. My mom waiting patiently. I ran up and hugged her. "Did you have fun today?" She asked "Yes I did!" I yelled happily. "That's good!" She exclaimed smiling. My mother a beautiful soul. Oh how I loved her.

We sat on the couch waiting for my father to get back. I heard the front door open and ran over. "Daddy!" "Princess!" he beamed holding me. "I missed you soooooo much!" I told him. The rest of the night was filled with my fathers hearty laughter.

Later on I was tucked into bed. It was 8:30. "Goodnight (Y/N)" both my parents said. Kissing me on the head. "Goodnight mommy, goodnight daddy" I said softly. I drifted off to sleep. A bit later I woke up. The clock read 12:00. Suddenly I heard my parents whispers in the kitchen.

Peeking through the crack of my door I saw them. Moving, far away, (Y/N), Yoongi, how long, not sure were the words I could make out. Moving? As I pondered on that word Mt heart felt heavy. Opening the door all the way I decided to walk out.

Both of my parents looked at me.

"What are you doing out of bed princess?" My dad asked. Instead of being oblivious to it I asked head on. "Why are you and mommy talking about moving?" I asked demandingly. Both of my parents looked at me sadly. No..

"Daddy found work in America baby"

"America..?" my eyes started tearing up. It sounded very far away. Too far away. "It's okay (Y/N) it'll be so nice over there!" My mom said. "No!" I yelled. "I'll be so far away from Yoongi-ah! No!" I sobbed. He was my only friend. I've known him since we were in diapers. My mother sighed and took me in her arms as I cried.

The next day I was in the flower field again. Except it didn't feel the same. Every bright color seemed uninteresting to me. I guess Yoongi had noticed my change in demeanor. "What's wrong (N/N)?" He asked concerned. I questioned whether or not I should tell him. I still had a week. Not now.

"Nothing Yoongi-ah Im just a bit tired" my first lie. Over the span of a few days that one lie had turned into many. Finally when the day came I met up with Yoongi.

Yoongi was telling me about his dog. I kept my head down. "Yoongi-ah.." I interrupted. He looked at me "Yes..?" A bit annoyed I interrupted him, but still interested in what I had to say. "Yoongi.." I glanced up at him fighting back tears. "Wha.." before he had the chance to finish I blurted it out. "I'm leaving to America!". Now crying I watched for his reaction.

"America..?" He said again as if he didn't understand. I nodded. Yoongi started at my sobbing figure and has grown quiet. "When..?" He asked hesitant. "Today.." I said quietly. Yoongi red in the face stood up. "Why.. why didn't you say something before!" He yelled angrily. "I don't know!" I yelled back. Yoongi started walking away from me.

"Yoongi-ah! Yoongi-ah!" I screamed as I ran after him. Quickly I put my hand on his shoulder. He quickly pushed it off. "Go away! Go to America!" He said with tears in his eyes. "Leave me alone (Y/N)!" He sobbed before running back to his house. I stood there heartbroken. My fuzzy feeling had come back. This time accompanied with the burning feeling in my heart.

As my parents said their last goodbyes we loaded into the car.

I buckled up and looked out the window. It had started raining. Everything looked dreary at that moment. No longer a beautiful spring day. Looking out the window as we drove past the neighborhood I saw Yoongi. Standing outside in the rain watching me. I waved goodbye. He looked away.

"Goodbye (N/N)" he whispered under his breath.

Just like that my beautiful spring had come to an end. Turning into a cold winter.
