Sterek adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey

The Bitter Tast Of Ashes have both feet firmly planted in the plot of the '50 Shades Of Grey' trilogy by E L James. I make no claim to the basic plot or Teen Wolf characters. That said this is my slash (M/M) STEREK version and populated with Teen Wolf personalities. The central characters, their personalities, the dynamics between them, certain events and eventual ending have been altered from EL James story.

Werewolves / Vampires are known in this AU world and largely accepted.

·         Peter Hale, Derek Hale, Cora Hale and Jordan Parrish are werewolves, all other characters                    are human.

·         Peter Hale is an Alpha and head of the Hale family/pack.

·         Derek Hale is also an Alpha but does not want/require a pack of his own.

·         Cora Hale and Jordan Parrish are Betas.

·         Takes place in Los Angeles and for the purposes of this fic Beacon Hills has been placed as the RL geographical location of Santa Barbara.

I scowl and put my foot down on the accelerator, it's to the floor. Damn I'm going to be late for the fucking meeting. Baby gives a nervous rattle, a polite cough and doesn't go any faster. I can't blame her, a grand lady of her extreme age doesn't belong on 101 with all these young bloods barrelling toward Los Angeles. Another car zips past us and Baby gives a nervous shudder.

"Poor old girl," I mumble and give her steering wheel an affectionate pat, which she seems to appreciate.

I can't help but think somewhat ungraciously when she's trying so hard, that I should have taken Lydia up on the offer of her car.

Oh, I suppose I'd better explain. Baby is my car, a blue and black Jeep CJ-5 of advanced years.

She has been a member of the Stilinski clan since the day she rolled off the production line in the 1980's. You've heard of 'one careful owner'? Well, Baby has had five and all of them Stilinski's. Passed down through the family and finally the old girl gets to spend her twilight years with me, Stiles Stilinski. Twenty two and about to graduate from Beacon Hills Community College.

This trip isn't my idea, it's Lydia's. I share an apartment with Lydia Martin and it's not what you think. She's been my best friend and closest thing I have to a sister since Kindergarten. Her family is well off, mine isn't. My dad is the local sheriff, and Claudia my mom is currently on her fourth marriage and living in Florida with her husband, Alan.

Don't ask.

Anyway, Lydia didn't want to live alone and so she asked me to share with her, says I'm useful for scaring away burglars and ex boyfriends and getting the lids off jars and wiring plugs. Thank God for opposable thumbs or I'd be a Rottweiler! We get on really well and I don't mind that sometimes I'm a shoulder to cry on and her support network. She's mine.

I'm a media student and she's studying to be a journalist, that's how come Baby and I are in this mess. Driving along 101S and heading to conduct an interview in Los Angeles. Lydia writes part time for the Beacon Hills Echo and she's been trying for the last six months to get an interview with this Hale dude. A businessman and entrepreneur, a real high flier, a billionaire with a privacy complex. He never gives interviews, he has a whole PR department to take care of that. He wouldn't be of any interest but a eight months ago The Hale Foundation awarded BHCC a million dollar grant to expand their research into high yield and disease resistant crops. He's going to be attending the graduation ceremony next month, making a speech and conferring the degrees. Somehow she got hold of his PA's number and badgered the poor dude day and night solidly until she wore him down. Hale agreed to a thirty minute interview for the paper.
