Maya's POV

I bounced my leg rapidly as I watched Emma play on the jungle gym.

The sun was beaming today which cause me to be a bit sweaty. My nervousness helped.

"Calm down" Lily said keeping her attention on Emma. "You're clearly on edge, he'll get suspicious"

I was here to meet Tyler, Lily came up with the idea of a walk in the park so we could get out.

"I'm going to go use the bathroom" I announced in a calm voice.

I got up and began walking towards the rest room but stopped when I heard Pietro behind me.

"Can I pee in peace?" I snapped at him.

He rolled his eyes. "Women" he mumbled as he turned back to go to where he was standing.

I entered the smelly bathroom closing the door behind me.

"Tyler?" I called out softly.

"Hey" he came out of one of the stalls and I gave him a tight hug.

"Are you okay? Can we finally talk now ?" I asked him hurriedly.

"I'm fine, how are you? How's everyone?" He asked.

"We're all on edge, everyone's pretty stressed but besides that we're good. We're safe...for now" I gave him the best smile I could muster. "Can you answer my questions now?"

He licked his lips "Have you guys found a way to get away from Daniel yet?"

"No, what?... wait have you been talking to Ethan?" I asked.

"No, did you tell him what I told you?" He asked.

"No, it slipped my mind, too much is going on" I shook my head, how could I forget something so important?

"Good, don't tell him anything about seeing me. If Daniel finds out I'm alive he'll come back to finish the job" He looked around.

"D-Daniel tried to kill you?" I asked in a small voice.

"He thinks he did and I want it to stay that way. You've been gone for too long. Get back, I'll contact you again if I find a way to help you" He pulled me in for a hug.

Without saying anything back I walked out of the bathroom. If Daniel tried to kill Tyler that could mean he had something to do with Colton's disappearance.

What the fuck are we going to do?
