Chapter 2

"So youre kissing up to your dads player" My friend Kayla from my hometown said. 

"No, he just took me to this place and we talked no big deal" 

"Until you see him again" 

"Its not gonna be weird Kay"

"What are you gonna say if he asks you out again" 

"Ill say whatever feels right at the time" 

"Good luck Em"

"Thanks" I said.

I got dressed and decided to go work out at the lakers facility pool. I figured nobody would be there since it is 6 in the morning. I didnt feel like regular softball practice I needed a different type of exercise. I put on my suit and headed out to the pool. I left my phone by the dge and slipped into the pool. I swam some laps and then took a break checking my messages from Hailey and Mia asking about last night with Kyle and how it went. 

"Couldnt stay away" I heard Kyles voice.

"More like you couldnt" I said turning around facing him. 

"Sure" He said slipping into the pool across from me. 

I could see the outline of his muscles through his wet gray shirt but I tried not to stare. 

"How are you doing?" He asked.

"Well I dont really prefer getting up at 5 to workout so tired but decent what about you?"

"Same, the grind never stops"

"No it doesnt" I said with a smile. 

"I had a good time last night" He said swimming over by me.

"It was nice" I agreed. 

"Think fast" He said splashing water at me.

"Kyle!" I shrieked and started to splash him until he pulled me close by him grabbing my waist. 

"You need to work on your reaction speed" He said with a few inches between us.

"I-I guess so" 

He then leaned down closing the distance connecting our lips. It felt, different. Good different. I couldnt explain what I felt but I didnt want to pull away until we heard the door shut. 

"Kyle" It was Anthony.

"Um what?" Kyle turned around distancing himself from me.

"I was just gonna tell you that the guys are going out to lunch today and they want you to come" 

"Ill be there just message me the time and place" He said and Anthony nodded walking out. 

I didnt say anything looking down Kyle turned arounnd looking at me about to say something.

"I have to go" I said pushing myself out of the pool grabbing my phone and walking into the locker room.

"Emily wait" I could here Kyle yell, but I needed space. 

Kyles POV

Ive just met this girl but im already falling for her. My coaches daughter. When I tell you I never thought this would happen I mean it. I waited around to see if she would come out to her car but she didnt on time and I had to leave for team lunch. It was Danny, Alex, Anthony, Lebron, and Quinn. I parked in a space and went inside to see they all were waiting for me. 

"Sorry im late, got a little busy" I said sitting down.

"Seems like it" Lebron said.

"What?"
