*A few days later*

Philippines sighed as he walked down the empty road, he looked out at the fence that was guarding a lake to the ocean, in the middle was a small island, enough to fit a few people. He noticed someone in the middle and before he could react the person sighed and got on a boat that led back to shore. Philip shrugged his shoulders and went into the small town coffee shop.

*Philippines POV*

I looked out the window, another person who was wearing headphones, possibly to listen to music, was walking when he suddenly stopped and looked at his phone.
He sighed, walked down the path, and gave a silent stare at the lake filled with pink blossoms. He turned his music off as he reached the end of the fence and started to take off his jacket, out of the jacket came a pair of beautiful golden wings, he smiled and flew. He touched the water ever so gently that a bit came up further than the tip of his wing. He turned and flew up when he spotted me, who had come out of the coffee shop a few moments after first seeing him.

He freaked out and that's when I really got a good look at his face. It was Kaz. Suddenly his wings started failing him and he plunged into the water. I freaked out, put down the coffees on a nearby bench and ran to the edge of the lake. "KAZ!" I yelled out, I couldn't go any further and I started to panic. I saw his head pop up and realized he wasn't too far out and so I jumped in, not caring about my clothes and I swam under water until I reached him.
I gasped for breath. "Are you alright, Kaz?" I asked, pulling him onto the shore. "Yeah, are you?" He coughed and looked at me, both of us drenched. "Yeah." "Sorry, Phil, I gotta go." He picked up his jacket and put them over his wings. "I like your wings!" I called out. He started running.

*Kazakhstan's POV*

I walked down the cherry leaf covered road, it was oddly empty, I sighed and stopped as a song I didn't like came on and then completely turned off my music. I had a sudden urge to fly, I looked around and then took my jacket off after I reached the end of the white and gold painted fence.

I flapped my newly freed wings, I almost never took them out because I was afraid of the backlash but at that moment I didn't care. I made my wing touch the water, just barely, just the tip, just a dip. I flew up, thinking about nothing, my mind was a blank. I took in the smells and the view and the feel... and then I turned around and saw Philippines.

My heart stopped and my wings felt like they gave up and I fell into the water. I couldn't think, I didn't react when I hit the water. I just... stopped. I felt something grab me and I was pulled ashore by Phil. I coughed up water. He asked me if I was ok and I responded with something like "Yeah, are you?" I coughed some more and he responded with a small reassuring smile. I realized what was happening and I ran off after getting my jacket and covering my wings.
"I like your wings!" I heard him yell. I didn't react, except that I ran faster. I ran home and took a few deep breaths before getting in the shower, I was drenched.

*Third POV*

Philippines grabbed his coffee and walked home, soaked.

"I'm home." He placed down one of the latte's on the counter. "Alone."
He walked upstairs and got changed. He sighed and stayed in his room. Alone. He drew portraits of wings and black water, coffee and black cherry blossoms. He took his one of his online classes about math but got bored and didn't finish. He sighed and started playing loz botw.

His phone started ringing, it was Martial. "You didn't do what you always do, did you?" "No, Martial. Anyways I got you coffee, it's on the counter." "Ok, see you soon. Love you." "Love you too." Philippines hung up the phone and started making dinner for Martial, Phil wasn't hungry, also it was 8pm.

Phil put the coffee next to the waffles, whipped cream, and strawberries dinner that he had made Martial. He went upstairs again and turned on his LED lights and turned off his tv. He laid down in bed and couldn't fall asleep.

He was overthinking everything. 'What if he doesn't like me?' 'What if he does like me?' 'Why'd his wings stop?' 'How is it possible that he even has wings? Genetic mutation? Ancestors with wings?'  The thoughts kept him up and he didn't even flinch when he heard the door downstairs open. He eventually fell asleep after directing his thoughts to Kaz.

Phil's dreams were of flowers and picnics and even chocolates and cotton candy. He smiled and hugged his pillow as he dreamt on throughout the night.
