"The mermaid! It's here and it's close," Constance said. Nobody had noticed her awakening, but she must have been there to hear some of the conversation. Constance stood up.
"Oh, Constance. We need to get the mermaid because it may have the trinket which we believe is able to transport people through time," Regina said. Jack and Allen nodded and all of them went out the door. As they walked it was quiet. No one talked and all you could hear was the flickering of the fire on the walls. Waves crashing, hearts beating, footsteps coming, they continued through the hallway. They ran through the hallway and saw the prison. From behind a wall in the hallway they looked at it. Right beside the door there was a small man with golden hair. He was about three feet. All of a sudden, Allen ran to him and knocked him down.
"Allen, what are you doing?!" Jack said as he rushed to Allen.
Allen looked at Jack who was standing behind him. "It's the only way we can get through," Allen replied.
"I'm sure it was," Jack said in a sarcastic tone.
"And look," he pointed towards the door, "the door's open now and the man is unconscious so he can't tell anyone." Jack nods as he looks at Allen. They headed into the room. In there they saw a tank in the middle of the cell. They look around at the room. It was similar to the other prison, except, it only had one cell in it. In the tank full of water there was a figure. It had long locks of black hair that reached her hips. Her scaly peach tail shined because of the firelight. The mermaid was submerged in the water, and was weak without it. They were out of sight of the mermaid and just stared at the creature. None of them had ever imagined that they would see something like this. They all looked at each other. Wow, Constance thought in awe. Regina came closer to the mermaid who was now awake. There was a splash and the mermaid moved away from Regina.
"It's alright," Regina said. The mermaid, frightened and timid, shook her head as if she were trying to say no. Regina leaned over the tank to see something. The tank was short, only five feet or so. When Regina was leaning over she saw something in the corner of the tank, it was a circular, silver, and golden object. It had a golden trident engraved in it. This is it, Regina thought, this is the necklace that we need. Constance stepped out of the shadows.
"Hi," Constance said nervously as the mermaid looked at her and as Regina turned her head towards her. "We need something you have, to get back to where we are from," Constance pointed to Regina, Jack, and Allen who now came out from the shadows.
Regina looked back at the mermaid again. "You see, you took us here to this place, and we need to get back."
"All that you need do is give us the necklace," Allen said. Regina shot him an annoyed look.
"If we stay, you see, the people in charge will force us to..." Constance paused and looked down.
"Destroy my world," the mermaid spoke, braver now. "I've heard them talking about it. Walking in the hallways and whispering. I've heard they finally got you," she pointed towards Constance. "The final ingredient in their spell. Constance, it's not about destroying my world, it's about what you destroying my world does to you.""What are you talking about?" Constance asked.
"The people in charge of this ship are pirates. They pillage, kill, and makes deals, all for themselves. If... they get you to use your powers to kill instead of help, other forces will come. They'll wreak havoc on the world, this world, and all the worlds alike," she responded with.
"Well, then, I'm sure you don't want that to happen, right? Why don't you just take us back to our time?"
"You would've thought it would have been that simple, but it's not. What's good for you, it isn't good for me. I made a deal with them, and..." she looked down, "I need to keep it," she said solidly. What are we going to do now, Constance thought.
Jack and Allen had shocked looks on their faces, not understanding why she had to keep the necklace.
Why does she need it? We can help her if only she'd hand it over to them, Allen thought.
What does she mean she needs to keep it? We need that thing too! Regina thought. Her brows were furrowed and she was frowning.
"What was the deal?!" Regina said fiercely as she stepped closer to the tank. Allen and Jack looked concerned.
"They'll let me go if I keep you here, if I listen, I can go back," she said with some hope.
"We can get you out, we can take you back. Where do you need to go?"
"It's not exactly a question of where, but when. I need to go back to 2007 A.C., where everyone I love is."
"You are aware, right, of the fact that you have something that allows you to go through time as if you were swimming though it?" Allen asked with a concerned tone to his voice, staring right at her.
"What?" she replied.
"That object in the tank," Allen pointed towards the time-turner. "That object allows you to go through time," Allen said proudly, liking the idea of knowing that he has knowledge over others. "That is why we are all here because somehow someway that thing worked." She looked interested, confused, and shocked at the same time. She gave Jack a smile. She saw him behind Allen, looking at him happy and nervous at the same time.
"If you can get me out, I can take you, but first, who are you?" They began to introduce themselves.
"I'm Jack," she nods.
"Allen." The mermaid gives them a smile, aware of the tension between them.
"I'm Regina."
"You know who I am," Constance said bitterly. She was shocked that she had the power to do such terrible things and that people, creatures, they actually wanted her to do them.
"Okay, I'm Doria. Now get me the hell out of here," Doria said as Jack lifted her out of the water.
All of a sudden, her tail had turned into two legs.

"What's our plan?" Jack said.
"Jump," Allen replied looking at him with a smile plastered on his face.
They opened the door and let the mermaid near the water. She crawled to the edge, but was too weak to get over. The crewmen and creatures were closing in on them, and on the wheel was the captain.
"Good to see you've decided to join the party!" The captain laughed. "We've been looking for you." Jack raced towards Doria and lifted her up so she could get over into the sea.
"Too bad we'll be leaving soon," Allen said as creatures surrounded him. He looked behind him and saw a sword. He grabbed it and began to use it to fight them. Allen swung his sword to the left and stabbed one of the creatures in the neck. Something strange happened.
The material of the sword must have had something in it that caused this to happen. The sword made the creature crumble down and turn into sand. Allen looked in shock as another creature held a scythe and aimed towards him.The metal scythe hit Allen in the shoulder.
Constance takes the sword from off the ground and stabs two creatures from behind. Regina looks at her surprised and then she picks up the scythe from the ground. From behind them and from the front she turns them to sand by stabbing them. Before they do, though, she sees ones blood drip from its body and shudders, surprised at what she can do.
Blood came through Allen's shirt. Everyone turned towards Allen. Jack looked in shock and despair.
"Doria," Jack said, rushed. She looked at him. "You have the necklace right?" She held it up and showed it to him.
"Yes, I do," she said nervously.
"I'm going to throw you in and then everyone else is going to jump in after, okay? I have to drop you in and then go to Allen," he said rushed and panicking.
The mermaid nods and looks a bit frightened. She was scared about what would happen after, if there was a way that the pirates could get back to her and her family. She did, though, know what she would have to do, what would be the best decision for everyone."Okay," she said.
He picked her up from off the ground. The water was a blueish green, but it was a very dark color. You couldn't see the bottom. Jack hesitated, nervous about him jumping in himself and also throwing her in. Jack threw her in the water and the waves made a splash. Bubbles surrounded her body, and all of a sudden her tail reappears. She stays, swimming in the water, waiting for the rest to come.
