Byleth stood at the center of the room with the Academy's most successful students, trying to come up with an exemplary plan for the upcoming battle. Each of them had diverse fighting styles, which didn't make the decision easy. They required a plan that would protect both the monastery and its' soldiers.

The bluenette spaced out to think how he even got to where he was today. How the bandits attacked his village, how the trio joined their fight, how the monastery took him and his father in...

The boy was snapped from his haze as he heard a voice calling his name. "Professor... Byleth? Sir..!" The voice finally yelled before the professor rapidly shook his head.

"Sorry to disturb you professor, but Dimitri and Claude got into a bit of an argument and I can't seem to get them to separate." Edelgard said in her average, stern voice.

"Hm... well you know how Dimitri gets when he gets into a fight. Sadly, I suggest that we'll just have to let them fight it out." Byleth recommended.

Edelgard nodded as she made her way to the entrance of the rather large training area.

"Professor! Are you coming?" the white haired girl yelled.

"Yes, my apologies," Byleth said as he inched away from the other two, trying not to get involved in their conflict.

After the two left, the fight between Claude and Dimitri only escalated. "So you think it's fine to protect the monastery but not its' soldiers!? Do you really want to leave them to die!?" Claude yelled, clearly fed up with Dimitri's attitude. Dimitri, of course, fought back, having no intention of losing.

"Of course! What other choice do we have!? We could risk everyone's lives or just the soldiers'! When they joined the guard, they knew they were going to risk their lives!"

As always, Claude rolled his eyes. "Of course... what else would I expect from the Prince of Faerghus himself..?" Dimitri pinned Claude against the wall, obviously not satisfied with his response.

"Do you want to say that again?" the blond haired prince asked in a monotone, but threatening tone.

"Oh, come on!" Claude yelled as he pushed Dimitri off of him. "There's no need to be so dramatic!"

"Were you not just listening when I told you not to speak like that!?" Dimitri yelled furiously as he threw the first punch. Claude stumbled backwards in shock. Dimitri was always a person to be verbally aggressive, never physically.

"Come on! Are you really not gonna fight back!?" Dimitri taunted.

"Then so be it!" Claude yelled as he returned the blow, that Dimitri had delivered, right in the center of the blond's face. The two fought for what seemed like forever, without break, without end.

Finally, Dimitri ended up victorious, while Claude had been pummeled to the point where he could barely move.

Once satisfied, the blond leaned against the wall, completely out of breath. He stared down at Claude before sighing.

"Claude, I'm sorry..." the blond spoke blandly. As he waited for a response, Dimitri began to grow worried.

"C-Claude..?" he spoke again, this time with worry detailed in his voice.

After a minute of waiting for a response, Dimitri inched over to Claude and tapped him with his boot, making sure that the brunette wasn't playing tricks like he always did.

After he didn't receive a response, the blonde picked the larger boy up, but had trouble doing so, despite his small figure.

Dimitri limped back to his dorm with the boy on his back. He kept mumbling constant apologies to himself and wiping tears away from his face, knowing that neither of the actions would make things better.
