Aunt Frigga?" I ran over to her and gave her a hug.
"It's so good to see you, my dear. You've grown up into a beautiful young woman." I turned to look at Odin.
"I don't understand if Frigga is your wife and you've said I've been here before that means.."
"That you're an Asgardian. You were born a commoner here on Asgard. The entire universe was looking for its Protector. People were looking for you so they could continue their plans without having to worry about you in the future. In order to protect you, we had to send you to the Hope family. I had Frigga watch over you as you grew to ensure your safety. We put a spell on you for the people to believe you were the daughter of the Hopes'. When you touched the Tesseract, the spell changed depending on what you needed, which was why everybody now thinks you're Tony's sister."
"So my entire life has been a lie?"
"It was the only way to protect you. If not we were worried that we would lose you before you were worthy."
"I see why you did it Allfather, but recently my life has been crap on earth because of who I was there."
"It was to ensure that you were worthy to possess all of the stones."
"But I already have one of the stones, I've had it for about six months now."
"I know which is why we want to officially make you the Protector."
"Of course Allfather."
"There is something I want to talk about with Luna privately Loki."
"Of course father." Loki bowed and walked out of the throne room.
"What do you want to walk to me about?"
"One of my sons will be crowned king here in a couple of years, and with your high ranking as the Protector of the Universe. I want you to marry one of my sons."
"Allfather you have been very kind and all but, marry either Loki or Thor? Doesn't that seem a little much?"
"I would choose for you because I want you to be married to the future king, but I think that you would prefer to have a choice on which of my sons you want."
"Allfather, why?"
"Because it's a way to ensure that our realms will be kept at peace."
"Of course Allfather." I bowed and left the throne room. As I was walking back to my room I was lost in thought and I ended up running into Loki. "Loki! I'm so sorry I didn't mean to run into you." Loki chuckled.
"It's okay darling. What did Odin want to talk to you about?"
"He wants me to marry either you or Thor to ensure the safety of Asgard. Because I'm now at a high status he wants me to marry the princes of Asgard." Loki wrapped his arm around my waist.
"I'm sorry darling. There is something I want to show you that will probably make your decision a little easier. Come on, follow me." He grabbed my hand and let me to another door. When he opened it, I gasped. It was a massive library.
"Loki, I love it."
"Come on." He led me to a small corner. We both sat down on the bench that was there. "I wanted to know if you liked to read, if so then you can come into my personal library whenever you want." I stared at him.
"This is your personal library? It looks bigger than the Library of Congress! This is amazing!" I ran over to Loki and hugged him.
"So I take that you like it?" I smiled.
"No, Loki I love it." Loki and I hung out all the time together. He led me around the palace, he took me into one of the towns, we went swimming in a lake, and he even taught me how to use some magic. Not that I need it, but it was so cool. I hang out with Thor every once in a while, but our relationship is nothing like the one I have with Loki and I think he knows that. Thor and I spar with each other, he wins if I'm not allowed to use my powers, which is not often. I've become closer with both Frigga and Odin because I'm being taught how to be a princess and a ruler. I don't want to be a ruler because it has been my dream to be an agent and help those who can't protect themselves. I also think I'm falling for Loki, but I don't know if he feels the same about me. He makes me laugh, he's handsome, and such a gentleman. It has been about a month since I left earth and became a citizen of Asgard, and I still haven't had my ceremony to officially make me the Protector. I'm sitting in my room reading "Hamlet" when I heard a soft knock at the door. "You can come in." I looked up to see Loki in my room. "Hey, Loki. How are you?"
"I'm doing well. I was wondering if you wanted to join me in the library today?" I got up and put my book away.
"Sure. I'd love to join you." Loki offered me his arm as we headed towards the library. We sat down in a private spot in the back corner of the library which had a beautiful love seat. Typically Loki would let me lay my head on his lap as he read to me. When we sat down I noticed he was picking at his hands, which is what he does when he is nervous. "Are you okay?" Loki looked at me.
"Of course. Why wouldn't I be?" He continued to pick at his hands. We sat in silence reading our books for about half an hour until he suddenly blurted out, "Do you believe in soulmates?"
"Like the legend?"
"Yes."
"I do to an extent."
"Well, legend states that every few thousand years a pair of soulmates will find each other. Soulmates are always around, they just never find each other. I'm going to show you that they're real and that we're the pair that found each other. Put your hand up to mine. Try to focus, so your magic is at your hands." I focused and I saw my blue aura around my hands. Loki's green magic went to his hands. "Now, only soulmates magic will intertwine with each other." When Loki and I's magic touched it changed to a beautiful aqua. I felt a warm feeling run down my spine as our magic touched. "Luna, we're meant to be together. I know I just met you barely a month ago, but I love you."
"I love you, my trickster." Loki gently grabbed my face and pulled me close to him. When his lips touched mine it felt like fireworks. It started calm and sincere like he was savoring a dish. But he began to become more passionate, he pushed me up against the wall and began to explore my body. "Loki, somebody will see us."
"This is my personal library, nobody will come here." Loki began to let his hands wander under my garments.
I grabbed his hands. "Loki. I love you, but I want to get to know you before you take me. I want it to be on our wedding night." Loki looked lovingly into my eyes.
"My love, I promise that I won't take you until we're married." He kissed my forehead gently. "Come on, let's go talk to mother about your decision." As we walked to Frigga's chambers I asked him a question.
"Loki, how long have you fancied me?" Loki smiled as he looked at me.
"I've fancied you the very first day we met. What about you love, how long have you fancied me?"
"Technically since I first met you, but I didn't admit it until about a week ago." Loki lead me to a beautiful door, he knocked on it and I heard somebody call from within. We went inside to see Frigga.
"Luna and Loki, what are you doing?"
"I've made my decision on who I want to marry." Frigga stared at me. "Loki told me about something called soulmates and I believe we are soulmates." Frigga grabbed both mine and Loki's hand.
"Luna, you're right. Your guy's bond is the strongest I've seen in a long time." Frigga looked at Loki. "It's good to finally see that you found somebody." Loki grabbed my hand.
"I've found somebody who loves me for who I truly am mother, she brings the best out in me." Frigga grabbed my hand.
"My dear, this is the happiest I've seen Loki in a long time. Don't waste this time together." I hugged Frigga tightly.
"Thank you, for all that you have done for me."
"Don't be ridiculous, the universe brought you two together." Loki grabbed my hand and led me out of the room.
"You must tell Odin of your decision if not Thor might try to engage you."
"Of course, I'll go right away."
